Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for pre-caching of speech processing feature data. In various examples, first data indicating source data is received from a first speech processing component. The source data may be used to generate first feature data. In various examples, a first request to process first input data is received. A second speech processing component may generate the source data during processing of the first input data. The first feature data may be generated using the source data. The first feature data may be sent to the first speech processing component. In some examples, the first speech processing component may store the first feature data in a first cache local to the first speech processing component.

Abstract: The present invention includes systems and methods for retrieving information via a flexible and consistent targeted search model that employs interactive dynamic menu information retrieval techniques that provide context-specific functionality tailored to particular information channels, as well as to records within or across such channels, and other known state information. Users are presented with a consistent search interface among multiple tiers across and within a large domain of information sources, and need not learn different or special search syntax. A thin-client server-controlled architecture enables users of resource-constrained mobile communications devices to locate targeted information more quickly by entering fewer keystrokes and performing fewer query iterations and web page refreshes, which in turn reduces required network bandwidth.

Abstract: Techniques for performing feature computation are described. A system may gather and analyze event data to generate a timeline of the event data and corresponding feature data (e.g., statistical values representing the event data). The system can create a customized timeline that allows information to be sorted and aggregated in different timescales to improve speech processing and other functionality. For example, a feature computation system may calculate statistics and other information based on interactions with a speech processing system. These statistics provide information about previous interactions that may be leveraged to interpret future voice commands.

The conversational agent textually converses in so-called natural language interaction and can run on a computer, such as a server. Upon receiving a first query, the conversational agent creates a new case, and interacts with the customer, in an attempt to resolve the case and satisfy the user. The predetermined criteria for escalation may include a determination that the conversational agent is unable to satisfy a computer-to-computer information request. Alternatively, the predetermined criteria may include patterns and/or words associated with frustration, for example, and/or unrecognized query subject matter, high priority queries, for example to increase sales, etc.

The ring tone service detects an incoming phone call from a phone device to a service phone number associated with the ring tone service. An answering message allows a caller to start an audio response to be recorded into an audio data file. A notification message including information to locate the audio, such as a URL link that will cause a phone device to download a ring tone, is sent to the phone number associated with the calling phone device. A properly formatted ring tone is available for the phone device to download following the link information included in the notification message.
