End plates are used to connect, support, and enclose longitudinal ends of the elongate body of each linear lighting modules while simultaneously functioning as reflective faces for optical cavities. A configured gap spacing between individual linear lighting modules can be used to house and support components such as additional light sources, acoustic or decorative panels, HVAC components, or power systems, controls or sensors. The end plate can also be configured to allow a T-bar to be placed in the configured gap spacing thereby enabling the mounting of the assembly in-line upon the longitudinal axis of a ceiling grid T-bar. Embodiments of linear lighting modules are presented comprising LED light sources, light guides and diffusers housed within the elongate body.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2022Publication date: July 21, 2022Applicant: Fusion Optix, Inc.Inventors: Terence Yeo, Michael Demas, Joshua C. Publication number: 20220206210Abstract: A lighting assembly with a single edge lit optical configuration produces various asymmetric light distributions which provide targeted control of light output with peak intensity that is non-normal to the light guide output face. The compact form factor of the lighting assembly embodiments having narrow width are particularly well-suited for use in linear lighting applications requiring suspended, surface and recessed installations typically used to illuminate walls, floors and/or ceilings. The lighting assembly can also be selectively configured and oriented during assembly and installation to achieve various lighting distributions. Optical components within the lighting assembly are typically positioned and retained in optical alignment with internal support features of a linear housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2022Publication date: June 30, 2022Applicants: Fusion Optix, Inc., Axis Lighting, Inc.Inventors: Terence Yeo, Timothy Kelly, Howard Yaphe, Stephane Beland, Jean Gagne, Andrew Miles

Publication number: 20220196906Abstract: Light fixture embodiments for direct downlighting applications provide benefits of low overall fixture profile height, increased light output, enhanced uniformity of brightness and color by use of novel edge-lit optical elements that functions simultaneously as a diffuser and direct throughput lens, as well as an outcoupling TIR light guide. The light fixture can provide low-glare ambient light or more directional wall wash, task and accent lighting. The light fixture typically comprises a 3-dimensional extruded linear support body which retains and aligns LED boards, reflectors and edge-lit optical elements, such as a diffuser or light guide. The edge-lit design enables the height of the lighting assembly body to be equivalent to or less than the height of T-bar main beams or cross tees. This is very important in applications where there is zero or little available plenum space above the ceiling grid.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2022Publication date: June 23, 2022Applicant: Fusion Optix, Inc.Inventors: Terence Yeo, Timothy Kelly, Michael Demas

Patent number: 11272400Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel tools and systems for controlling narrow band data (e.g., data communication and telecommunications) pathways through selective engagement with one or more narrow band platforms of an omni-grid system. These methods further comprise enhanced compression methods suitable to structure the data for controlled data flow in an omni-grid system. In particular, the tools and the systems of the present invention provide improved transmission to off-grid environments (e.g., stronger, faster, and stable with less latency, jitter, and/or packet loss under difficult/harsh signal conditions), including in the context of an urban environment where one may be off the grid temporarily due to an emergency, in educational settings, as well as for use in geographically remote locations not in proximity to physical network infrastructure (e.g., for Internet of Things data access).Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2019Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: imCon International IncInventors: Dan Horn, Gregory S.
