The process additionally causes the customer computer to process self-identification routines by processing coding within the merchant transaction form, the self-identification routines yielding further profile parameters. An online credential service assigns a unique client identifier to each user and a unique forum identifier to each forum that users participate. A user participating in one or more online forums registers for establishing a reputation profile at the online credential service. A unique verification code associated with each forum is generated for the user to include in the user's profile at the corresponding forum. A user's reputation is determined based on whether a verification code is included in the user's profile at the form.

The delivery confirmation includes an ID corresponding to the receiving device, an ID corresponding to the sending device, the time of transmission, the time of reception, the format of the message and/or a message ID. This delivery confirmation is subsequently stored by the notification service. The sending device then sends a delivery inquiry to the notification service. The delivery inquiry includes information that allows the notification service to identify a stored delivery confirmation. If a message corresponding to the delivery inquiry is identified, the notification service responds to the sending device affirming that the message was successfully delivered. The notification service may also respond with multiple delivery confirmations that meet the criteria of the delivery inquiry.
