  • Patent number: 11357425
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring analytes in the circulatory system of an individual is provided. A biological sensor is implanted in the bone marrow of a patient and may be self contained within a housing. The biological sensor measures physiological parameters of a patient, including analytes, on a fixed or adjustable schedule. The biological sensor includes a control unit having a transmitter and an energy source for providing energy to the control unit. The biological sensor may be used to adjust other medical treatments and devices in a closed or semi closed loop mechanism and/or predict patient treatment.

  • Publication number: 20210038877
Abstract: An intravascular port is provided. The intravascular port includes a housing having an internal chamber and an outer body having a membrane on a surface thereof, the housing including one or more access openings that communicate with the internal chamber. One or more sensors are received within the one or more access openings for sensing one or more physiological parameters of a patient. One or more treatment units are received within the internal chamber of the intravascular port for providing a treatment protocol including medications to the patient. A control unit is in communication with the one or more sensors and the one or more treatment units and is configured to receive a signal from the one or more sensors and output a treatment protocol to the patient.

  • Patent number: 8956291
Abstract: A system and method for providing balanced, automated regulation of a patient's physiological condition by monitoring at least one physiological parameter and, optionally, monitoring and controlling additional physiological parameters, is disclosed. The system includes a physiological parameter monitor, an intelligent control device and a multi-channel delivery device for providing controlled intravenous delivery of at least two medications that affect the physiological condition being controlled. Control logic in the intelligent control device is derived by an algorithm based on model predictive control. The control logic includes mathematically modeled systems, empirical data systems or a combination thereof. The system of the present invention is optionally included in a networked system to provide centralized data storage and archival of system information as well as data export and query capabilities that can be used for patient file management, health care facility management and medical research.
