  • Publication number: 20240019982
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for indicating a distance to a selectable portion of a virtual surface. In various implementations, a device includes a display, a non-transitory memory and one or more processors coupled with the display and the non-transitory memory. In some implementations, a method includes displaying a graphical environment that includes a virtual surface, wherein at least a portion of the virtual surface is selectable. In some implementations, the method includes determining a distance between a collider object and the selectable portion of the virtual surface. In some implementations, the method includes displaying a depth indicator in association with the collider object. In some implementations, a visual property of the depth indicator is selected based on the distance between the collider object and the selectable portion of the virtual surface.

  • Patent number: 7552480
Abstract: A quantitative model combines a one-dimensional risk-assessment approach with expert knowledge to enable calculation of a probability or likelihood of exploitation of a threat to an information system asset without referring to actuarial information. A numerical value is established for one or more threats of attack on the information system asset based on expert knowledge without reference to actuarial data, and likewise, based on expert knowledge without reference to actuarial data, a numerical value is established for each of one or more access and privilege components of one or more vulnerabilities to attack on the information system asset. A security risk level for the information system asset is computed based upon the numerical values for threat and the access and privilege components for vulnerability so established.

  • Publication number: 20050178565
Abstract: A fire suppression dispersal system for an airborne craft which applies fire suppressant material at or near ground level. The system includes a vessel that is secured within or adjacent the airborne craft for holding a fire suppressant material therein. A dispenser controllably dispenses the material from the vessel. A conduit has a first end secured in fluid communication with the vessel and a second end connected to a dispensing end for controllably directing the dispensed material at or near ground level. The dispensing end which dispenses fire suppressant material is enclosed within a protective shroud for impact protection from the encountered terrain.
