    Abstract: A hand-held sharpener tool for a knife or similar implement comprises a unitary body having first and second sections; sharpening elements mounted in the first section; the second section being located rearwardly of the sharpening elements and comprising an elongated handle on an upper side of the body, and an elongated hand guard extending rearwardly of the sharpening elements, the hand and the hand guard forming an elongated ring rearward of the sharpening elements with sufficient space for a user's fingers to extend between the handle and the hand guard. The sharpening elements can be provided to sharpen/deburr either a two-sided blade such as a knife blade or a one-sided blade such as a scissors blade.

    Abstract: A hand-held sharpener tool for a knife or similar implement comprises a unitary body having first and second end sections and a third mid section, processing elements such as sharpening, deburring or whetting elements mounted in the first and second sections. The third section is located between the processing elements of the first and second end sections and comprises an elongated handle on an upper side of the body, and an elongated blade guide and hand guard extending inwardly of the processing elements, the handle and the hand guard forming an elongated ring rearward of the processing elements with sufficient space for a user's fingers to extend between the handle and the hand guard, and the blade guide depending from the hand guard. The processing elements can be provided to sharpen/deburr either a two-sided blade such as a knife blade or a one-sided blade such as a scissors blade. One of the sets of processing elements can be provided as whetting elements to whet a sharpened blade.

    Abstract: A framing system, according to the present invention, comprises a base frame and multiple framing arches attached to the base frame at selected intervals. Each framing arch comprises a pair of lumber leg segments, a pair of lumber roof rib segments, angle frame connectors joining each leg segment to a roof rib segment and joining one roof rib segment to another roof rib segment, base frame connectors joining each leg segment to the base frame, and lumber edge segment and a lumber ridge segment. The edge segments extend transversely of the framing arches with each edge segment being mounted in the angle frame connectors that join leg segments to roof rib segments on one side of the framing system. The ridge segment extends transversely of the framing arches and is mounted in the angle frame connectors that join one roof rib segment to another roof rib segment.

    Abstract: A plumb bob string holder comprises a molded plastic unitary structure having first and second annular rings joined together by a bridge. Each of the first and second annular rings defines a circular aperture having a diameter sufficiently large whereby a plumb bob may by passed therethrough. The bridge is wide enough whereby a plumb bob string may be wound therearound for storage. The structure is constructed and arranged whereby a user may grip and hold the structure with his/her forefinger extended through one of the first and second annular rings, his/her middle finger wrapped around the bridge, and his/her fourth and fifth fingers extended through the other of annular ring, when a plumb bob string extends downward from the structure.

    Abstract: A hand held sharpening and deburring tool is disclosed which is capable of sharpening a variety of bladed implements such as knives, hatchets, scissors, cleavers, garden trowels and etc. The tool comprises a body having a handle grip section, a sharpening/deburring section and a transition section that melds the grip and sharpening/deburring sections together and also mounts a guard for protecting the operator's hand from injury. The sharpening/deburring section including a first transversely mounted sharpening/deburring insert extending to one side of the body for sharpening or deburring a scissors blade or like device, said sharpening/deburring section also including second and third sharpening/deburring inserts defining a V-shaped notch which extends toward the tip of the body for sharpening or deburring the cutting edge of a knife or like device.

    Abstract: Method for preparing an adjustable side view mirror mounting mechanism (40,50,70) for vehicles which includes a conventional mounting support (14) supporting neck (12) and mirror (M). After the neck (12) is cut a desired distance above base (14) the neck stub (23) left on base (14) is removed and a replacement sleeve (70) is substituted. A slidable mirror support block (50) has a slot (64) through which is received bar (40) and which has lock means (56) for securing and releasing the block for slidable movement with respect to the bar. On the top of the block means (50) is a support cavity (55) to receive the shortened neck (12) for supporting the mirror (M). The mounting bar (40) with block (50) is attached to the upper end of sleeve (70) to complete the installation.

On the top of the block means (40) is a support cavity (54) to receive the neck (12) for supporting the mirror (M). Securement means (56,58) are provided to lock neck (12) in cavity (54).

An adapter block has two halves (70,72) with matching slots (76) and (74) one above the other. The lower slot (74) is mounted on support portion (38) while the upper slot receives a slide bar (90). The mirror (22) is mounted at the outer end (92) of the slide bar (90) while stop means (96) are located at the inner end (94) to prevent the bar from sliding on through. A threadable member (102) locks the slide bar in the desired position.
