  • Patent number: 8948817
Abstract: A wireless serving communication unit comprises a signal processor, for receiving and processing a signal to be broadcast, and a number of transmitters operably coupled to the signal processor, for transmitting the broadcast signal in a plurality of sectorised cells to a wireless subscriber communication unit. The wireless serving communication unit comprises logic to replicate the processed signal into a plurality of replicated signals and logic introduce one or more delay(s) to one or more of the replicated processed signals, such that replicated broadcast signals having different delays are transmitted from a plurality of sectorised cells to one or more wireless subscriber communication unit.

  • Publication number: 20140177483
Abstract: Managing interference in a wireless network is disclosed. A signal quality level may be determined of a downlink signal on a downlink channel associated with an uplink channel of a first network element. Determination of an interference potential between the first network element and the second network element from the signal quality level may be performed. Adapting a network parameter associated with the downlink channel in response to the determined interference potential may be performed.

  • Patent number: 8113807
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for fabricating structures, extrusion units, and structures fabricated using such methods and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus may include a support configured for rotation about a central axis, a carriage that may move along the support when the support rotates about the central axis such that the carriage may move along a first spiral path about the central axis, and an extrusion unit that may be supported by the carriage and may move along a second spiral path as the carriage moves along the first spiral path. The extrusion units may be configured to extrude a strip of material through an extrusion die as the extrusion unit moves along a previously extruded strip of material such that the extruded strip may be fused onto the previously extruded strip as the extruded and previously extruded strips pass the extrusion die.

  • Patent number: 7690174
Abstract: An apparatus for conveying an article through a hot air chamber of a shrink packaging machine comprises a first conveyor and a second conveyor. Each conveyor includes a plurality of rollers. The rollers of the plurality are interconnected together to form an endless conveyor belt. The conveyor further includes a drive assembly for advancing the endless conveyor belt in a first direction, and a track member having a surface disposed in engagement with particular rollers of the endless conveyor belt. Each of the particular rollers of the endless conveyor belt rolls over the surface of the track member when advanced through the shrink packaging machine. The first conveyor is located over the second conveyor in opposing facing relation therewith such that a compressible item to be shrink wrapped may be compressed and conveyed through the shrink packaging machine between and by the first and second conveyors.
