  • Patent number: 8233202
Abstract: A scanner with a simplified document feeding path is provided for scanning a document. The scanner includes a paper path, a conveying mechanism, an optical module and a scan window. The conveying mechanism conveys the document along the paper path. The optical module, rotatably disposed, captures an image of the document conveyed to a first position and a second position in the paper path, wherein the optical module captures a front-side image of the document at the first position and a back-side image of the document at the second position. The scan window, mounted on the optical module, is turned toward the first position and the second position as the optical module rotates, and the optical module captures the image of the document through the scan window.

  • Publication number: 20100149608
Abstract: A scanning apparatus, which supports flatbed and sheet-feeding scanning of document, includes a first scanning unit and a second scanning unit. The first scanning unit includes a first scanning chassis which scans a document in a first main scanning direction. The second scanning unit is disposed beneath the first scanning unit and electrically connected with the first scanning unit. The second scanning unit includes a second scanning chassis which scans a document in a second main scanning direction different from the first main scanning direction. Preferably, the first and the second scanning units provide the flatbed scanning and sheet-feeding scanning functions, respectfully.

  • Publication number: 20060098239
Abstract: An image acquiring device with background filtering function includes a scanning module, a color splitting module and an image processing module. The scanning module includes a CCD sensor for sensing a document image signal travelling along an optical path. The CCD sensor has red, green, blue and white light sensing member sets. A data transmission speed of the white light sensing member set is greater than that of each of the red, green and blue light sensing member sets. The color splitting module disposed on the optical path only lets one of red, green and blue light pass through at a time under a filtering mode. The white light sensing member set receives the red, green or blue light outputted from the color splitting module. Then, the image processing module recognizes a brightness value of a pixel, which exceeds a predetermined value, and compensates for the brightness value of this pixel to generate a brightness value corresponding to a white.
