    Abstract: Fibers or filaments made by using a spinneret orifice having a regular polygonal cross-section. Melt-spinnable thermoplastic polymer is melted and extruded through a spinneret orifice having a regular polygonal cross-section to form molten filaments. The molten filaments are then solidified, and optionally are subsequently subjected to stretching and false twisting processes.
