Patent number: 10309284Abstract: A method of regenerating an exhaust gas purification filter, in particular for internal combustion engines, uses a vaporized liquid that is to be introduced into the exhaust gas flow. A surface temperature of a heating element in a vaporizer chamber is limited to a maximum of 700 to 750° C.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2009Date of Patent: June 4, 2019Assignee: FAURECIA EMISSIONS CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES, GERMANY GMBHInventors: Wilbur Crawley, Tobias Danner, Wolfgang Hahnl, Jurgen Klement, Marco Ranalli, Barbara Lacher

Patent number: 9624800Abstract: A vaporizer for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine has a vaporizer tube and a holding sleeve in which the vaporizer tube is inserted. A clamping sleeve sits on the vaporizer tube. The vaporizer tube includes two circumferentially surrounding clamping surfaces which protrude in a radial direction and cooperate with the holding sleeve and the clamping sleeve such that the clamping surfaces are clamped between the holding sleeve and the clamping sleeve by an axial clamping force to be gastight. At least one of the holding sleeve and the clamping sleeve includes a surrounding sealing edge which rests against the respective clamping surface via a line contact and forms an annular sealing seat. The vaporizer further includes a device preventing relative rotation between the holding sleeve and the vaporizer tube. A heater of the vaporizer is attached to the vaporizer tube using a resistance welding method.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2014Date of Patent: April 18, 2017Assignee: Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, Germany, GmbHInventors: Christoph Noller, Juergen Klement, Otto Steinhauser, Toni Zipfel, Tobias Danner

Patent number: 8485314Abstract: An exhaust muffler of an internal combustion engine has pipe sections on the inflow side and on the outflow side, respectively, and a muffler housing that is in communication with the pipe sections. The muffler housing, which includes an outer casing and end walls, is made at least in sections of a plastic material.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2010Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, Germany GmbHInventors: Tobias Danner, Thorsten Keesser, Thorsten Linde, Christine Huth, Marco Ranalli

Patent number: 8291932Abstract: A valve means has a valve housing, in which an inlet duct for pressure fluid extends, the duct opening into a valve chamber, in which a valve member is held by spring means in a closed position engaging a valve seat, the valve member opening at a predetermined opening pressure of the pressure fluid present so that pressure fluid arrives by way of an opening cross section at a fluid outlet and flows from it, and the valve means comprises a control duct by way of which pressure fluid flows into a control chamber, in which a control member is held clear of a control seat by spring means in an open position, the control chamber being connected by way of a connecting duct with the valve chamber; and in which the control member so controls the exit flow of the pressure fluid that the control member is able to be shifted, prior to opening of the valve member at a control pressure below the opening pressure into engagement with its control seat so that the passage of fluid between the control chamber and the valve chType: GrantFiled: October 17, 2008Date of Patent: October 23, 2012Assignee: Festo AG & Co. Patent number: 8171951Abstract: A valve (1) with a AND gate function has a valve member (2) cooperating with moving passage members (23a and 23b) in a valve housing (3) in order to control connections between one outlet (A) and two inlets (E1 and E2). If the pressure difference present at the input side goes above a threshold value, the valve member (2) can thrust back one of the passage members (23a and 23b) against the stressing force of the stressing means (34a and 34b) in order to separate the outlet (A) simultaneously from both inlets (E1 and E2). Accordingly a safety and/or a logic function may be implemented.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2007Date of Patent: May 8, 2012Assignee: Festo AG & Co. KGInventors: Volker Quendt, Tobias Danner
