  • Publication number: 20230390507
Abstract: The present invention provides a vibrating membrane nebulizer with an aerosol generator comprising a vibrator and a membrane, a reservoir for liquid to be aerosolized, a channel and an optical sensor for detecting the presence of aerosol in the channel. The device determines whether aerosol is present in the channel on the basis of the output signal from the optical sensor, in order to detect when the reservoir becomes empty, and stops vibration of the membrane if it determines that no aerosol is present. A method for operating the device is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230364355
Abstract: The present invention provides an inhalation device which has two pumps, one providing a nebulizer flow and the other providing a support flow. The nebulizer flow passes through a nebulizing nozzle to generate an aerosol flow from a liquid. The aerosol flow and the support flow are combined to provide a total flow through a mouthpiece to a patient. The device can be configured specifically for pediatric use by removing the support flow pump. The invention also provides a method of providing a flow of aerosol and / or air to a patient using the device, in particular a device which provides a defined volume of air and aerosol as a bolus at a defined flow rate on each inhalation.

  • Patent number: 11174650
Abstract: A method and a climbing device for lowering a climbing rail, i.e. for climbing downwards. The climbing rail, which is placed on a climbing head by means of an upper protrusion, is lowered in that a climbing cylinder is retracted. The climbing cylinder can be spaced from the climbing rail by completely retracting the climbing cylinder at the upper end by means of a distancing device prior to extending the climbing cylinder again. Thus, the climbing cylinder can be extended again without the climbing rail engaging or hooking below the climbing head at the now central protrusion in that the distancing device moves the climbing head around the central protrusion.
