  • Patent number: 9643816
Abstract: A method for determining the degree service life end of a support cable of an elevator, wherein the support cable is routed over a drive sheave and/or one or more return pulleys and connects a car to a counterweight, includes the steps of: the support cable is subdivided into a plurality of sections; and for each of the sections, a determination is made as to whether the section passes over the drive sheave and/or one or more of the return pulleys during a trip, and if this is the case, a usage level representing the degree of service life use is increased accordingly.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 15, 2009
Date of Patent: May 9, 2017
    Assignee: Inventio AG
    Inventors: Herbert Bachmann, Tobias Noseda
  • Patent number: 8632432
Abstract: A supporting and drive belt including a belt body or sheathing which encloses tensile carriers. The running surface of the belt can be flat and parallel to the belt back or have trapezium-shaped or semicircular ribs and grooves, wherein the profile of a drive pulley or of a deflecting pulley is approximately complementary to the running surface of the belt. One or more tensile carriers are provided for each rib, wherein the tensile carriers are laid or stranded alternately in the “Z” direction and the “S” direction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 28, 2007
Date of Patent: January 21, 2014
    Assignee: Inventio AG
Inventors: Adolf Bissig, Alessandro D'Apice, Herbert Bachmann, Manfred Wirth, Roland Lorenz, Tobias Noseda, Florian Dold, Claudio De Angelis

  • Patent number: 7757472
Abstract: A synthetic fiber cable has the strands of a strand layer mutually spaced apart. With the mutual spacing, the strands of the outer strand layer can move radially in the direction of the cable center and exert a radial pressure on the strands of the first inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the first inner strand layer to the strands of the second inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the second inner strand layer to the core strand. The radial pressure increases inwardly from strand layer to strand layer. The soft cable sheathing does not act as a support between the strands in circumferential direction.
