The cutter module further includes a slitter gang composed of a plurality of slitters each having a plurality of blades, the slitter gang being located between the end plates. The dryer module includes a plenum defined vertically downward through the cabinet for supplying air received from a top of the plenum to the media path.

    Abstract: An ink and print media cartridge for a printer device includes a print media housing assembly having a top molding coupled to a bottom molding, the top and bottom moldings defining a region therebetween in which print media is stored; an ink housing assembly attached to an underside of the bottom molding, the ink housing assembly defining with the underside of the bottom molding an ink chamber in which ink is received, the ink housing assembly further including an ink outlet in fluid communication with the ink chamber; and a spring provided between the top molding and the bottom molding, the spring positioned to bear against the top molding to bias the print media towards the bottom molding. A portion of the bottom molding extends beyond a peripheral edge of the top molding to define an ink supply connection manifold with the ink housing assembly. The ink outlet is provided on the ink supply connection manifold, spaced clear of the print media housing assembly.

The media drive shaft has a drive wheel driven by the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism has a piezo-electric element supported by an arm extending from the chassis. Actuation of the piezo-electric element causes an oscillating movement of the arm to contact the drive wheel upon each oscillation to thereby cause rotational movement of the drive wheel and the media drive shaft.
