  • Patent number: 8528846
Abstract: A vibratory crushing apparatus includes at least one trough having an inlet end, an outlet end, and a wall defining a material-receiving space having a first cross-sectional area. The apparatus also includes at least one crusher disposed in the trough, the at least one crusher having an outer surface that conforms to an inner surface of the wall about a circumference of the crusher, and a second cross-sectional area that is smaller than the first cross-sectional area so as to define a gap between the outer surface of the at least one crusher and the inner surface of the wall. Further, the apparatus includes a vibration generator coupled to the at least one trough to cause material to move between the inlet end and the outlet end and to cause the at least one crusher to move relative to the wall of the trough.

  • Publication number: 20090101476
Abstract: A vibratory apparatus includes a surface having an input end and an output end, and a vibratory generator coupled to the surface to cause material to move along the surface. The apparatus also includes a barrier coupled to the surface and having a plurality of openings disposed therethrough to provide for controlled passage of materials from an upstream side of the barrier to a downstream side, and a solid gate disposed to one side of the barrier, the gate moveable relative to the barrier between a first position wherein a first portion of the plurality of openings are occluded and a second position wherein a second portion of the plurality of openings are occluded, the first portion being different than the second portion. A method of operating such an apparatus is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7108793
Abstract: A method of separating a liquid from a liquid-laden solid material includes providing a trough having a deck defining a support surface with passages extending through the support surface. The liquid-laden solid material is deposited onto the support surface so that the liquid-laden solid material is supported by the support surface. A vibratory force is applied to the deck to separate a substantial portion of the liquid from the liquid-laden solid material. The liquid separated from the liquid-laden solid material is directed under gravity force through the passages extending through the support surface. The solid material is conveyed along the support surface by the vibratory force to a solids discharge point.
