  • Publication number: 20240095627
Abstract: In some embodiments, systems and methods are provided herein useful to assess or determine available cargo capacity for multiple vehicles associated with crowdsourced delivery agents. In some embodiments, systems are provided to assess delivery vehicles and may include multiple electronic user devices each having a delivery agent interface operating thereon and an association with one or more crowdsourced delivery agents. At least one control circuit is communicatively coupled to the electronic user devices. By one approach, the control circuit may estimate delivery requirements for purchased orders, which includes volume requirements and geometric configurations of purchased orders. The control circuits may evaluate vehicles associated with crowdsourced delivery agents to determine which are suitable for delivery of the purchased order, and present, to the appropriate electronic user devices, an opportunity to deliver at least a portion of the purchased order to a delivery location.

  • Publication number: 20240086994
Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to facilitating the vehicle pick up of orders at shopping facilities. In some embodiments, there is provided a system including: an electronic interface for receiving an order corresponding to a customer and for receiving a time period during which the customer requests to pick up the order; a control circuit configured to: determine the location of the customer; determine a plurality of shopping facilities near the customer's location; determine when the order would be available for pick up; determine the subset of shopping facilities where the order would be available within the time period requested by the customer; transmit the location to the customer; and at least one shopping facility where the order is made available for pick up by the customer during the requested time period.

  • Patent number: 6941938
Abstract: An adapter assembly for releasably interconnecting a pressurized bottle with a paintball marker, wherein the adapter assembly includes a piercing pin moveable between retracted position and an extended position. The adapter assembly includes an internally threaded female socket for releasably engaging the pressurized bottle, and an externally threaded male head for releasably engaging a corresponding female connector on the paintball marker. The spacing of the threaded connections and the travel of the piercing pin are selected such that the piercing pin punctures a frangible seal of the pressurized bottle subsequent to fluid interconnection of both the pressurized bottle and the paintball marker with the adapter assembly.

  • Patent number: 5775312
Abstract: A spring air gun includes a reciprocable piston and a slide for cocking the piston. The slide is movable between forward and rearward positions. A piston rod is connected to the slide and is slidably mounted within a piston tube which is connected to the piston. A pair of springs are concentrically mounted on the piston tube, and the forward end of each spring engages the piston. The rearward end of the inner spring engages the slide, and the rearward end of the outer spring engages the frame of the gun. A detent maintains the slide in the forward position, and a sear maintains the piston in the cocked position and is engageable with the detent for preventing the slide from moving rearwardly until the gun is fired. The gun is fired by pulling a trigger, which releases the sear from the piston. The detent can then be moved to allow the slide to be moved rearwardly to cock the piston. When the slide is not in the forward position, the detent prevents the trigger from being pulled.
