  • Patent number: 11957839
Abstract: An intubation assembly and shield configured to at least partially reduce the risk of contagion of airborne illnesses. The intubation assembly comprises an intubation apparatus assembly, which may comprise an intubation apparatus such as a laryngoscope, endoscope, bronchoscope, or other fiberoptic device. The intubation apparatus assembly may be operatively disposed on the shield assembly. The intubation apparatus may be placed on a correspondingly dimensioned sleeve. The shield assembly comprises a body with a plurality of side segments and a first transparent component with a shield opening disposed thereon. The shield opening may be used for insertion of the intubation apparatus assembly. The shield assembly may also comprise a second transparent component with at least one longitudinally disposed slot for insertion of an endotracheal tube or other intubation apparatus(es). The shield assembly may be provided with ports to attach a vacuum device to provide negative pressure.

  • Patent number: 10480132
Abstract: An extendable section, for attachment to a fixed screed, may include a rotatable shaft, and a power receiving component attached to the rotatable shaft. The power receiving component may receive power generated during rotation of a drive shaft, and generate torque and speed for rotating the rotatable shaft. Increasing the driving rotational speed of the drive shaft may increase a driven rotational speed of the rotatable shaft, and decreasing the driving rotational speed of the drive shaft may decrease the driven rotational speed of the rotatable shaft.

  • Publication number: 20170073907
Abstract: A paver including a screed and a hydraulic actuator coupled to the screed. The hydraulic actuator is configured to raise the screed to a transport position by pressurizing a raise end of the hydraulic actuator. An accumulator is selectively connected to the hydraulic actuator. A control valve configured to switch the screed in the transport position between a non-cushioned state and a cushioned state by connecting the accumulator to the raise end of the hydraulic actuator in the cushioned state. The hydraulic pressure of the accumulator is equalized to a hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic actuator before the control valve switches the screed from the non-cushioned state to the cushioned state.

  • Publication number: 20120181041
Abstract: A harvester (10) with warm water spray jets (11) that fluidizes and releases gas hydrates from seafloor sand and soil. The released gas hydrates float into the harvester (10) and are then transferred through a hydrate slurry pipe (14) to a separation vessel (18). Dissociation of the gas hydrates into methane gas occurs in the separation vessel (18) from its lower pressure than the seafloor and the optional use of heat. The liberated methane gas flows upward in a gas vent pipe (27) to a topside vessel (30) for storage from the pressure of the submerged separation vessel (18). Alternatively, the vent pipe can be fed directly into an available natural gas pipeline. Crude oil collected in the separation vessel (18) can be separated and pumped to a topside vessel (30) for storage and use in a refinery. No other processing is required to produce commercial quality natural gas harvested directly from gas hydrates on or near the seafloor.

  • Patent number: 6855281
Abstract: In a method of forming an article of footwear, a shell is formed between at least two die portions. The shell has a flash line defined proximate an interface of the die portions and along a perimeter of the shell. The method may include coupling a component directly to the shell so that the flash line is at least in part disposed proximate or below an upper edge of the component, with the component selected from the group consisting of a midsole and an outsole. The flash line may be positioned to coincide with an edge of a ridge on the shell.
