Patent number: 11916362Abstract: The present disclosure provides a cable tray fitting with tray connector and a flexible membrane with opposite longitudinal ends. The tray connectors are secured to the opposite longitudinal with each being secured to one of a pair of adjacent cable tray sections. The flexible membrane allows relative movement between the cable tray sections. The disclosure provides a cable tray assembly including first and second cable tray sections each with a longitudinal end. The cable tray assembly includes a cable tray fitting secured to and disposed between the longitudinal ends of the first and second cable tray sections. The disclosure provides a method of assembling a cable tray assembly by securing a cable tray fitting to opposing and adjacent longitudinal ends of first and second cable tray sections and allowing the cable tray sections to move in three dimensions relative to one another by virtue of the flexible membrane.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: EATON INTELLIGENT POWER LIMITEDInventors: Jacob L. Johnson, Todd Brasher, Brandon M. Tally

Patent number: 10514027Abstract: A positive displacement pump includes two fluid flow paths, two center sections with a common fluid valve, a changeover valve, and three fluid displacement members. Each center section contains a diaphragm shaft, and the two sections are separated by the third diaphragm. In low-pressure mode the pump operates as a typical positive displacement pump with pumping fluid supplied to one center section and the changeover valve allowing the fluid to freely circulate within the second center section. In high-pressure mode, the changeover valve is switched and the changeover valve allows the common fluid valve to supply pumping fluid to both center sections to drive the fluid displacement members therein, which generates a higher outlet fluid pressure.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2014Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: Graco Minnesota Inc.Inventors: Todd L. Johnson, Daniel L. MacDonald, Ronald A. Flor

Patent number: 10053887Abstract: Protective barriers for protecting assets (e.g., electrical power transformers and other substation components). The protective barrier may include a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion may include first and second laterally spaced A-frame structures having a first protective member assembly extending between aligned legs of the respective A-frame structures on one side thereof. The first protective member assembly may include a first plurality of substantially horizontally extending protective members oriented at an angle relative to a horizontal plane. The first and second A-frame structures may have a second protective member assembly extending between aligned legs of the respective A-frame structures on an opposing side thereof. The upper portion may comprise a third protective member assembly. Methods of making a protective barrier are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2015Date of Patent: August 21, 2018Assignee: BATTELLE ENERGY ALLIANCE, LLC.Inventors: Henry Shiu-Hung Chu, Michael Paul Bakas, Todd L. Johnson, James Wade Schondel

Patent number: 9291158Abstract: The fluid section of an air operated double diaphragm pump 10 consists of two fluid housings 12, an inlet manifold 14, and an outlet manifold 16. The housings are to be made in two parts. The preferred frame 18 material is glass fiber reinforced with polypropylene that is overmolded into final shape with an encapsulating material 20. The frame 18 is designed so that the encapsulating material 20 can flow from one side to the other allowing for a mechanical lock between the top surface 22 and the bottom so as not to rely on chemical adhesion between the two materials.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2010Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: Graco Minnesota Inc.Inventors: Bryan C. Cochran, Dawn P. Svenkeson-Koubal, Todd L. Johnson

Patent number: 6675991Abstract: A ram plate which allows easy lifting and dropping of the plate even when a complete seal has been made with high-viscosity liquids inside a barrel. The system contains two alternative methods of depressurizing the internal liquids in order to more efficiently avoid vacuum and suction effect when the user attempts to raise the plate. The bleed stick components of the plate are completely independent of vent ports components. Such bleed stick components are levers which, when depressed, will move a cover and expose the internal liquids to outside air pressure via air vents. The vent port components operate through both gravity and potential energy of an internal spring, which place a given amount of downward pressure on a pneumatic cylinder which may or may not be enough pressure to move the cylinder and expose a vent to the outside atmosphere pressure.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2001Date of Patent: January 13, 2004Assignee: Graco Minnesota Inc.Inventors: Todd L. Johnson, Troy A. Eidenschink

Publication number: 20030071082Abstract: A ram plate which allows easy lifting and dropping of the plate even when a complete seal has been made with high-viscosity liquids inside a barrel. The system contains two alternative methods of depressurizing the internal liquids in order to more efficiently avoid vacuum and suction effect when the user attempts to raise the plate. The bleed stick components of the plate are completely independent of vent ports components. This allows the user to depressurize the internal air even if the high viscosity liquids fail to evacuate or drip from the vent ports, by way of opening a completely separate port that has not been filled with liquid. Such bleed stick components are levers which, when depressed, will move a cover and expose the internal liquids to outside air pressure via air vents.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2001Publication date: April 17, 2003Inventors: Todd L.
