    Abstract: A high solids emulsion polymer composition comprising styrene, an acrylate monomer, an acidic monomer, and an anionic surfactant. The emulsion polymer composition has a solids content of at least about 43 percent by weight. The anionic surfactant may be an alkyl benzene sulfonate, such as, for example, sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate, or may be a co-surfactant system comprising an alkyl benzene sulfonate and an aliphatic phosphate ester. The high solids emulsion polymer composition is suitable as a component in a floor polish composition, and is particularly suitable for dry bright floor polish compositions.
