Wireless communication is generated between the handheld field maintenance tool and a wireless gateway to automatically obtain a join key for the wireless field device identifier. The join key is written to the wireless field device with the handheld field maintenance tool.

Abstract: The applicants' teachings provide in some aspects methods and apparatus for mass spectrometric analysis that identify the location of carbon-carbon double bonds, if any, in an analyte by (1) obtaining the m/z ratio of the intact analyte ions, (2) subjecting these ions to collision-induced dissociation and (3) determining relationships between masses and/or mass-to-charge ratios of the intact analyte ions and the fragments produced by such collision-induced dissociation. The methods and apparatus selectively subject analyte ions to ozone-induced dissociation based on those relationships and determine location(s) of carbon-carbon double bonds, if any, from reaction products of ozone-induced dissociation.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for postponing check settlement. According to one or more embodiments, a method is provided. The method may include receiving, by a computer including one or more processors, check information associated with a check on a current date. The method may also include determining, by the computer, a destination account identifier for the check and determining whether to postpone settlement of the check until after the current date. Furthermore, the method may include identifying, by the computer upon a positive determination to postpone settlement of the check, a delayed settlement date associated with the check.

Abstract: A temperature control system for a light emitting diode assembly and associated lamp comprises a circuit board for supporting one or more light emitting diodes and a housing supporting the circuit board. A coolant circulation path is routed through the housing. The coolant circulation path is connected to a source of a substantially constant temperature circulating coolant. The temperature of the coolant is maintained around the constant by an internal combustion engine and a radiator.

Abstract: A method of evaluating a potential location to add a wireless field device to an existing network of a plurality of existing wireless field devices is provided. The method includes placing a handheld field maintenance tool in the potential location and causing the handheld field maintenance tool to identify wireless field devices within communicative range of the potential location. A sheet material, such as adhesive tape, extends from the supply roll through a slot, around the periphery of the roller at least 180°, back into the slot and onto be take-up roll. A partition separates the supply roll and take-up roll, reducing contamination of tape on the supply roll. An index mechanism may be provided to advance the tape one path length from the supply roll to take-up roll, the user does not overuse or underuse fresh tape.

The method includes using a processing system to receive indicating data from a scanning device, the indicating data being indicative of a unique identifier and being determined when the scanning device is used to scan the instrument. The processing system uses the identifier to obtain instrument data associated with the instrument from a database, before interacting with the instrument data to either record one or more events performed with the instrument or determine one or more events performed with the instrument.
