  • Patent number: 11134673
Abstract: A game call includes a first resonant member. A second resonant member is telescopically operable within the first resonant member between a plurality of telescopic positions. A harmonic carriage has a body and a reed assembly. The harmonic carriage is slidably operable within the second resonant member. The first and second resonant members and the harmonic carriage are slidably operable relative to one another to adjust a resonant length defined between the reed assembly and a resonating end of the first resonant member.

  • Patent number: 10945381
Abstract: A pole saw apparatus includes a saw blade, a pole, and a tubular adapter connecting the saw blade to the pole. The adapter includes an obround blade-receiving end that stably telescopingly engage sides of the blade-receiving end, with bolts fixing the blade on the adapter. The adapter also includes a pole-engaging end that is cylindrically shaped to telescopingly engage the anchoring end of the pole. A friction clamp includes a transverse shaft extending through the pole, the shaft being shaped to slide into longitudinal slots in the pole-engaging end of the adapter and then rotate into circumferential slots where it is not longitudinally removable. A rotatable cam handle on the clamp is manipulated to create circumferential friction to hold (or release) the adapter on the pole. The blade, adapter and pole align along a common centerline for robust and balanced use.

  • Patent number: 10548309
Abstract: A game call capable of providing a variety of sounds produced by wild game is provided. The game call includes a first end cap, a second end cap, and a collapsible member coupled to the first end cap and the second end cap wherein the collapsible member can be extended and retracted to simulate a rustling foliage sound. The game call may also include a clip member coupled to the first end cap wherein the clip member may be configured to simulate a branch breaking sound. The game call may still additionally include one or more knob members coupled to the first end cap and/or the second end cap where the one or more knob members may be configured to be scraped against a surface to simulate an antler rubbing sound.

  • Publication number: 20190166824
Abstract: A game call includes an elongated cage portion having an open side and a plurality of sides wherein each of the plurality of sides includes at least one laterally positioned rib portion. A plate is movably coupled to the elongated cage portion on the open side wherein the plate includes at least one laterally positioned step. A first plurality of flaps is coupled to the at least one laterally positioned rib portion of the elongated cage portion. A second plurality of flaps is coupled to the at least one laterally positioned step of the plate. At least one cloth loop couples the elongated cage portion to the plate so the first plurality of flaps and the second plurality of flaps may pass over each other to simulate a rustling foliage sound.

  • Patent number: 9532510
Abstract: A pole saw includes a long handle with end adapter, a blade-carrying component pivoted to the end adapter for movement between an extended use position and a handle-adjacent storage position, and a saw blade fixed to the blade-carrying component. The end adapter and holding component are cast aluminum for strength and light weight, and are pivoted together about an offset axis so that the blade and blade-carrying component are positioned adjacent the handle in a partially protected position when collapsed for storage. A folding lock mechanism includes an anchor that engages a saw-holding bolt on the blade-carrying component, and a wing nut that can be tightened to secure the sheath on the blade.

  • Patent number: 9101095
Abstract: A pole saw includes a long handle with cast end adapter, a cast saw-holding component pivoted to the end adapter for movement between an extended use position and a handle-adjacent storage position, and a saw blade pivoted to the holding component for movement between a blade-use position and a blade-protected position. The end adapter and holding component are cast aluminum for strength and light weight, and are pivoted together about an offset axis so that the blade and blade-holding component are positioned adjacent the handle in a partially protected position that is very compact; thus, no disassembly or separate tools are required. A folding lock mechanism includes a hook and pressure pad that cooperate for secure locking in the extended use position. An adjustable set screw eliminates blade looseness when in the use position.

  • Patent number: 8556035
Abstract: The various embodiments disclosed and pictured illustrate a ladder module for use in ascending or descending generally cylindrical, vertically oriented structures and a securement system for positioning various objects on a generally cylindrical, vertically oriented structure. One embodiment of the ladder module comprises a spine and at least two steps pivotally mounted to the spine. A step mounting bracket base may be affixed to a step mounting bracket bolt, and each step may in turn be pivotally mounted to the step mounting bracket base. The step mounting bracket base and the tree bracket may be secured to the spine with the step mounting bracket bolt. The ladder module may be mounted to a tree or similar structure using a flexible member such as a rope, wherein one end of the flexible member is secured to the spine and the flexible member is engageable with the securement structure.

  • Publication number: 20090174233
Abstract: A stool includes a collapsible frame, a triangular seat and a back. The frame includes a bottom hub with three telescopingly adjustable legs and enlarged feet. A top hub is rotatably coupled to the bottom hub for 360 degree rotation, and includes three seat-supporting arms that extend from the top hub, and a pair of uprights that extend from two of the arms. The seat hook-attaches to loops on ends of the arms, and the back extends between the uprights. The legs and arms are pivoted to their respective hubs, but the pivots are slightly frictional so that the arms and legs remain in adjusted positions, with stops on the hubs stopping the legs and arms in their upwardly-pivoted use positions. The frictional pivots include lubricious plastic that facilitates quiet unfolding of the stool, which is important when hunting.

  • Patent number: 7246683
Abstract: A tree stand for hunting includes a frame constructed to stably engage a tree trunk in an elevated position, a seat pivoted to the frame, and a back support pivotally supported by a link mechanism to a telescoping upright of the frame above the seat. Vertical and angular adjustment of the back support allows the hunter to adjust the back support for optimal ergonomic lumbar support and for user preference. Further, the back support and seat can be pivotally adjusted to provide a partial-standing perched position for the hunter. Also, the tree stand can be folded flat for storage and transport.
