  • Patent number: 5946061
Abstract: A fixing method where no dead space occurs when a liquid crystal panel is fixed to the main body cover of a liquid crystal display unit, enhancing mechanical fixing strength with relatively simpler structure. The present invention is directed to a liquid crystal display unit comprising a liquid crystal panel with a display portion and a plurality of side surfaces mounted thereon through a support body fixed to a main body cover. The liquid crystal panel is provided with a plurality of protrusions on each of the plurality of side surfaces. The protrusions each have a flat surface.
