  • Patent number: 5846920
Abstract: A cleaning agent for removing a residue of soldering flux, which essentially consists of mono-, di-, or tri-alkylene glycol mono branched C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 alkyl ether, which can remove with high safety both ionic residues and resinous materials contained in a soldering flux, which remain on the surface of a soldered electronic substrate. The cleaning agent of the present invention does not adversely affect the insulation and materials used in an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 4934791
Abstract: A color filter prepared by providing red, green and blue picture elements and a black matrix, all comprising a photosensitive resin and a pigment, on a transparent substrate and a transparent electrode layer on the surface, wherein said photosensitive resin comprises a polyfunctional acrylate monomer, an organic polymer binder and a photopolymerization initiator composed of at least one member selected from the group consisting of halomethyloxadiazole compounds and halomethyl-triazine compounds. The color filter provided herein gives a pattern having a high precision and a high surface smoothness owing to the photosensitive resin and exhibits a good environment resistance owing to the pigment.

  • Patent number: 4828947
Abstract: A method for making a relief pattern of a cured resin on a transparent colored layer which comprises applying a coating of a photocurable resin composition whose spectral sensitivity varies depending on the pH of the composition, on a transparent colored layer, adjusting the pH of the composition to a predetermined level, and exposing the coating to visible light irradiation through the transparent colored layer. The irradiated layer is developed to obtain a relief pattern corresponding to visible spectra transmitted through the transparent colored layer.

  • Patent number: 4684561
Abstract: Color sheets for thermal transfer printing comprise a substrate having a colorant layer on one side of the substrate and a resin layer formed on one side of the substrate and a resin layer formed on the other side of the substrate, the resin layer being made of a resin composition comprising fine particles and a lubricating material dispersed in a binder resin. The resin layer is made rough on the surface there of due to the presence of the fine particles whereby the color sheets do not stick to thermal heads and the resulting images are free of dropout defects and good in quality.

  • Patent number: 4615938
Abstract: Dye-receiving sheets for thermal recording which comprise a support and a dye-developing or receiving layer formed on the support. The layer is made of a composition comprising a dispersion of inorganic fine particles uniformly dispersed throughout a binder of a mixture comprising a first resin having good dye receptivity or good affinity for dyes and a second resin immiscible with the first resin. The binder mixture of two different types of resins allows microscopic interstices to exist at or along boundaries of the resins, through which interstices dye molecules penetrate and chemically combine with and/or adsorb on active sites of the inorganic particles and the first resin.
