  • Patent number: 4700643
Abstract: A fully rotating hook includes an inner bobbin case, an outer loop taker mounted about the bobbin case, the loop taker having a track groove formed therein, a rotating member for rotating the loop taker such that relative rotation occurs between the loop taker and the bobbin case, and a stopper member for preventing rotation of the bobbin case with the loop taker while the loop taker is rotating. The bobbin case includes a case body having a bottom and accommodated in the loop taker, and a track projection member made of synthetic resin material having a substantially small friction coefficient and removably fixed to the case body. The track projection member includes a flange-like track projection fitting within the track groove of the loop taker and a surrounding portion for surrounding the bottom of the loop taker.

  • Patent number: 4691648
Abstract: A device for detecting the residual amount of bobbin thread in a lock stitch sewing machine is arranged such that a detector detect the number of rotations of an arm shaft or oscillating shaft, or the number of cycles of vertically reciprocating movement of a needle bar of a lock stitch sewing machine including the arm shaft, and oscillating shaft, and needle bar. The detector provides an output for the detected of rotations. The residual amount of bobbin thread wound on a bobbin in a bobbin case is then detected based on the detected number of rotation output. The detected residual amount of bobbin thread is then compared with a predetermined value which is predetermined in dependence on conditions such as the thread and needle to be employed, and the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4671196
Abstract: A fully rotating hook includes an outer member or rotary loop taker having a track groove therein and an inner shuttle member or bobbin case a projection extending into the groove. A spaced relation between the track groove and the projection is maintained by feeding compressed air into a clearance therebetween. The compressed air is fed through a plurality of air holes opening into the track groove to direct air jets to upper, lower and radially outermost surfaces of the projection on the bobbin case. Furthermore, the loop taker is rotated on a hollow shaft which has an air passage therethrough for feeding compressed air to the plurality of air holes which open into the track groove of the loop taker.

  • Patent number: 4641118
Abstract: An electromagnet including a coil unit having a plurality of electrically insulative substrates, each having a spiral conductor formed thereon, the substrates being stacked together with the spiral conductors parallel with each other. The conductors of the unit are connected in series with each other so that magnetic fluxes formed of electric currents flowing through the conductors are directed in the same direction at the central positions of the spirals of the spiral conductors, and there are formed holes at the central positions for receiving a ferromagnetic core which is moved in response to a direct electric current passed through the coil unit. A valve may be connected to the ferromagnetic core to form an electromagnetic valve assembly.

  • Patent number: 4582236
Abstract: Stitching is achieved by means of a supply of synthetic resin staples or tacks contained in a staple feeder provided over work and arranged to be sequentially fed from the staple feeder legs of the staples or tacks penetrate through the work placed on a bed ends of the staples or tacks are deformed so as not to be removed from the work. Holes are formed, in advance, in the work at points through which the legs of the staples or tacks are to penetrate.

  • Patent number: 4537142
Abstract: A stopper device for a lock stitch sewing machine includes a retaining member having a contacting face and which is moved in the downstream direction, with respect to the rotary running direction of the loop taker, when a needle thread loop passes between a contacting face of the bobbin case and such contacting face of the retaining member. This facilitates the passing of the needle thread loop. An arrangement returns the contacting face of the retaining member in the upstream direction.

  • Patent number: 4367111
Abstract: This invention relates to a sewing method. Staples or tacks having the function of a sewing thread are first penetrated successively through a work placed on a bed. The staples or tacks are supplied and fed successively from a feeder which is provided over the work. The extremities of the staples or tacks are then transformed so as not to be removed from the work. The penetrating and transforming operations are performed simultaneously at a plurality of points or successively from point to point, whereby seams or patterned seams adjacent to each other are accomplished to sew the work.
