  • Patent number: 10946984
Abstract: A method of repairing damage to a composite material having a composite substrate and at least one layer of shielding material includes: a) removing damage to the at least one layer of shielding material by creating a hole in the at least one layer of shielding material; b) applying a patch of shielding material in the region of the hole via a resin, wherein a ratio of a resin weight to a weight of the patch of shielding material lies in a range between about 0.45-0.55; and c) curing the resin, wherein an absorptive, consumable material is positioned in contact with the resin during at least a portion of the curing.

  • Publication number: 20210073800
Abstract: The coin-basis engine is used to determine crypto currency basis functions as a real time calculator and index for real-time basis determination and value tracking for any crypto currency. The coin-basis engine analyzes blockchain transactions for a heterogenous mix of blockchain based or digital crypto-currencies, market events, currency exchanges and related property/trade transactions to determine taxable basis and taxable gains of crypto currency tokens. The key components of the coin-basis are the Artificial intelligence (AI) based Coin-basis engine, gateway routers and the blockchain database/ledger.

  • Publication number: 20200382819
Abstract: Cache management techniques are described for a content distribution network (CDN), for example, a video on demand (VOD) system supporting user requests and delivery of video content. A preferred cache size may be calculated for one or more cache devices in the CDN, for example, based on a maximum cache memory size, a bandwidth availability associated with the CDN, and a title dispersion calculation determined by the user requests within the CDN. After establishing the cache with a set of assets (e.g., video content), an asset replacement algorithm may be executed at one or more cache devices in the CDN. When a determination is made that a new asset should be added to a full cache, a multi-factor comparative analysis may be performed on the assets currently residing in the cache, comparing the popularity and size of assets and combinations of assets, along with other factors to determine which assets should be replaced in the cache device.

  • Patent number: 10821416
Abstract: A box style steam methane reformer (15) has plural sections (37), with each section having walls (27-29-31, 33) forming an interior cavity (35) and open ends (43) that communicate with the interior cavity. Each section has a feedstock supply pipe (71) and a fuel supply pipe (63) located along the top wall, as well as a syngas collection pipe (79) and a flue gas collection duct (75) located outside of the bottom wall. The pipes and ducts have ends that are aligned with each other to allow the sections to be assembled together. Burners (67) are in the interior cavity and are connected to the fuel supply pipe. Reactor tubes (59) extend through the interior cavity. Refractory members (81) are located in the interior cavity and across a slot. The spacing between the refractory members varies to control the flow of flue gas.

  • Publication number: 20200336775
Abstract: A device, computer readable medium, system and method for overcoming bandwidth limitations is disclosed for determining that a bandwidth limitation is related to preventing delivery of content, identifying a version of the content capable of being transmitted over a lower bandwidth, querying a device requesting delivery of the content for an indication of acceptability of a lower bandwidth version of the content instead of a higher bandwidth version, and based on an affirmative response to the querying, causing delivery of the lower bandwidth version.

  • Publication number: 20200314504
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for managing the delivery of electronic data, such as media content, through a network. An indication of a quantity of data transmitted via a network during a first time period may be received. Based on the quantity of data transmitted during the first time period, it may be determined that a first bandwidth utilization threshold of the network has been satisfied, and a first optimized version of a second portion of the content item may be subsequently sent.

  • Patent number: 10694261
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that relate to on-demand compression for electronic data, such as media content, through a communication pathway. The communication pathway may be configured to multicast media content to a plurality of end-users in a service group. In certain embodiments, the service group may comprise a service group node having a quadrature amplitude modulation device. In one exemplary method, it may be determined whether the amount of media content being transmitted meets a first utilization threshold. The determination may be based on, at least in part, by measurements taken at one or more electronic devices located throughout a network or system. If the first bandwidth utilization threshold is not met, media content may be transmitted in a first format. If the first bandwidth utilization threshold is met, at least a portion of the media content may be transmitted in a first optimized delivery technique.

  • Patent number: 10433013
Abstract: A device, system and method are provided to dynamically manage bandwidth for audiovisual communications and content distribution. The device, system and method may include dynamic qualification of content or channels for distribution in accordance with one or more distribution models, such as a broadcast distribution model and a narrowcast distribution model (e.g., a multicast distribution model and/or a unicast distribution model). In some embodiments, the qualification may be based on demand as reflected in requests for, or access to, content from user terminals. In some embodiments, based on changes in demand for content, a requalification of the content in terms of one or more distribution models may take place.

  • Patent number: 10344047
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to methods for joining oligonucleotides. The methods include joining together one or more oligonucleotides by reacting an alkyne group linked to an oligonucleotide with an azide group linked to an oligonucleotide to form a triazole linkage. The alkyne group is a strained alkyne group. The methods can include ligating together ends of one or more oligonucleotides or cross-linking strands of an oligonucleotide duplex to form the triazole linkage. The methods described allow oligonucleotide strands to be ligated together without the need for a ligase enzyme. The methods can be useful for joining together single strands of DNA, cross-linking complementary strands, cyclizing single and double strands, labeling oligonucleotides with reporter groups, attaching DNA to surfaces, producing analogs of DNA with modified nucleobases and backbones, synthesizing large chemically modified RNA constructs, and creating biochemically active PCR templates.

  • Patent number: 10187250
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method and system for monitoring the bandwidth utilization on a high speed data network port over time. According to the method described herein, measurements of the bandwidth utilization on the port may be taken over a predetermined time interval and analyzed to determine whether the utilization measurement equals or exceeds a predetermined upper threshold. If the port exhibits high bandwidth utilization within the time interval, an alert may be set for further monitoring of the port or for port augmentation.
