Abstract: A system to provide media (e.g., scent, therapeutics, other substances) includes a dispenser that may include a reservoir, an actuator (e.g., nebulizer), and an outlet through which a vapor or aerosol may be supplied or dispensed, the vapor or aerosol, for example comprising readily-soluble droplets having a median size range of approximately 2 microns to approximately 50, 20, or 10 microns for introduction to vessel. An interface is positionable over an opening of the vessel to close the opening while allow media to be dispensed into the interior of the vessel, thereby retaining the dispensed media until taken in by a user. The interface (e.g., annular plate) has a pair of opposed major surfaces, and the first major face supported on a rim of the vessel, with the dispenser supported on the second major face in an inverted orientation. A sensor may sense orientation, and cause an actuator (e.g., nebulizer) to dispense media when in the inverted orientation or otherwise titled for normal.

Abstract: A composition of food or therapeutic and other substances for administration as a cloud of droplets, the cloud comprising readily-soluble droplets having a median size range of approximately 3 microns to approximately 20 microns, or 5 microns to 10 microns, or 6 microns to 10 microns, for introduction to an animal via an ortho-nasal or retro-nasal route. Agonists or antagonists may include one or more of the following: sodium iodide, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, capsaicin, piperine, linalool, ground cinnamon, a cannabinoid, pimento, onion, clove, thyme, ginger, menthol, or TRPV antagonists, and chocolate, Irish cream, caramel, lemon, lime, mango, raspberry, watermelon, blueberry, strawberry, mint, popcorn, meat, Resolvin D2 or nicotine. Devices for delivering compositions as an aerosol are described.

Abstract: A remote-control modular lighting system allows users to select individual lighting modules for adjustment by momentarily pointing the remote control at the lighting module to be adjusted. Subsequent adjustments may be done without aiming at the lamp, allowing the operators attention to be on the subject being lit. Control functions may include aiming of the light, power on/off, dimming, etc. In one preferred embodiment, individual lamps broadcast an identifier code to be stored in the remote. This allows the remote to adjust groups of lamps, or change a group of lamps to a particular stored configuration. This functionality is achieved without the requirement of special set-up procedures during installation.

Abstract: A closed system suction catheter assembly has an aspirating catheter with a radially-projecting portion or flanges at its distal end. The catheter extends through a patient connecting member which is internally shaped to cooporate with the projection on the catheter so that, when the catheter is pulled proximally to its full extent, the projections seal within the patient connecting member.

Abstract: A closed system suction catheter assembly has a catheter that is protected along its length by a flexible sleeve. The catheter extends through a patient connecting member by which the assembly is connected to a tracheal tube. Within the connecting member there is a sliding seal support with a groove in which is located a rib that extends along the outside of the catheter. The rib follows a sinusoidal path so that the catheter is twisted backwards and forwards as the catheter is pushed or pulled through the patient connecting member.
