  • Patent number: 5950985
Abstract: Coupling devices for quick connection and disconnection of fluid conduits are disclosed including a first coupler with a recessed seat and a seat passage hole communicating with the seat, a second coupler with a protruding portion for insertion into the seat when the two couplers are connected, and a seating surface for sealing contact with the seat in the first coupling. The two couplers are pivotable between angled and aligned relationships, and the apparatus includes a tap on the second coupler to permit a valve body opposite the seat to adopt a closed position when the two couplers are in an angled relationship and to bring the valve into an open position when the two couplers pivot into an aligned position.

  • Patent number: 5417144
Abstract: Power transmission device for linear movement, comprising a principal member (2), which is movable along a displacement path, and a housing (1) which presents bearing means (10) for the movement of the member along the displacement path. A guide member (3) is arranged to guide the principal member in its displacement path, and a power member (4) is arranged to be able to be activated to apply a force to the principal member so that it moves while being guided by the guide member. A portion of the principal member is arranged to drive a connected device. The principal member (2) and the housing (1) and suitably also the power member (4) are each formed from longitudinally extending sections or profiles with essentially constant cross-sections along their lengths. In this manner the power transmission device can be produced in various lengths from a basic embodiment by cutting said profiles from raw material profiles having the cross-section referred to.

  • Patent number: 4712814
Abstract: Coupling arrangement consisting of two elements (1,10) capable of being connected one to the other, namely a first element (1/21) so arranged as to be introduced into and withdrawn from a second element (10) while adopting one or more specific positions in relation to the second element. This exhibits a body (12) in the form of a socket having an internal cavity and with slots (14) to permit the introduction of the first element. The first element exhibits a component (3) in the form of a disc having a peripheral surface (4), the dimensions of which match the dimensions of the cavity, and a shaft (2) which projects symmetrically from the disc-shaped component. The slots (14) of the second element come together at the front of the element, through which there extends a symmetry axis determined for that element.
