  • Patent number: 9499207
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a front structure arrangement of a vehicle including a side member and an outer side member arranged in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle at a left-side portion or a right-side portion of a front portion of the vehicle, the outer side member being located laterally outward of and vertically above the side member. A spring tower is attached to the side member and to the outer side member, and the spring tower is adapted to support a suspension of the vehicle. The spring tower is attached to the side member by an attachment means, which is arranged such that the spring tower is adapted to detach progressively from the side member during bending of the side member when the front structure arrangement is subjected to a substantially longitudinal force.

  • Patent number: 9428129
Abstract: A front structure of a vehicle comprises a pair of side members arranged in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a pair of crash boxes arranged at front ends of the side members, and a body back-up structure located at a rear end of the front portion. The front structure is adapted to give an impact response curve with deceleration versus time, when subjected to a full frontal barrier impact at 35 mph according to USNCAP. The impact response curve comprises in sequence: a first phase during which deceleration increases, a second phase forming a first peak level of the deceleration, a third phase during which the deceleration is less than during the second phase, and a fourth phase forming a second peak level of the deceleration, during which fourth phase the deceleration is greater than during the third phase.

  • Patent number: 7086801
Abstract: A coupling arrangement for enabling fixing of a body structure member and a structure member. The coupling arrangement includes, at least two threaded tubes provided one in either end portion of a passage through a housing. The housing is fixed attachable in relation to the structure members and includes a threaded passage, wherein a threaded bolt is arranged through the passage. The threaded bolt is adapted to connect the body structure member and the structure member in a coupling position, from which coupling position the threaded bolt, via inserts, enables adjusting operation of the threaded tubes in opposite directions along the threaded bolt. Thus, the threaded tubes are adjustable to a respective fixed position by screwing the threaded bolt.
