  • Publication number: 20110290462
Abstract: A brazed heat exchanger (100, 200) comprises a number of heat exchanger plates (110, 120, 130, 140, 150) provided with a pressed pattern of ridges and grooves to form flow channels for media to exchange heat between neighboring heat exchanger plates (110,120,130,140,150). The flow channels are in selective fluid communication with port openings (160). The port openings (160) are provided with dented surfaces (180; 280) being arranged along an interior circumference of the port openings (160) and comprising ridges (181; 282) and grooves (182; 281), said ridges (181; 282) and grooves (182; 281) being arranged such that a ridge (181; 282) of one heat exchanger plate (110, 120, 130, 140, 150) contacts a groove (182; 281) of a neighboring plate (110,120,130,140,150) to form a honeycomb pattern.

  • Patent number: 7775264
Abstract: A plate heat exchanger comprising plates (21, 31) interconnected by soldering and adapted to exchange heat between a high and a low temperature fluid may be designed to improve the cooling of the parts of the plates located near inlets (3) for the high temperature fluid by providing separate fluid channels (23, 26) in pairs of plates (21, 31) guiding low temperature fluid, said separate channels (23, 26) at least partly surrounding said inlets (3) for the high temperature fluid.

  • Publication number: 20090107661
Abstract: An end plate (200, 300) for a brazed heat exchanger comprises a relief pattern comprising ridges (230, 330) and grooves (240, 340) pressed into the plate material. The relief pattern (330, 340) is symmetric.

  • Publication number: 20070227716
Abstract: The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger in which the heat exchanging plates are brazed together along the periphery (17) of the exchanger and around port holes (2?,4?) in neighbouring plates to prevent that the heat exchanging flows mix when flowing through port channels comprising said port holes (2?,4?). In order to facilitate draining of heat exchanging media from the exchanger and in order to obtain better exploitation of the heat exchanger volume the sealing of neighbouring plates around port holes may according to the invention be effected in different plans (24, 25).
