  • Patent number: 5862955
Abstract: A creamy substance dispenser has a substantially rigid casing bounding a cylindrical chamber fillable with a creamy substance. A movable piston is slidable on the surface of the chamber for sealingly closing one end of the chamber. A dispensing chamber is separated from the cylindrical chamber by a transverse wall having apertures communicating the cylindrical chamber with the dispensing chamber and appendices projecting about the apertures. A profiled body formed of an elastically deformable material is fixed to the rigid casing and defines an outwardly facing portion of the dispensing chamber. The profiled body has a delivery hole and at least one rib projecting in proximity to the delivery hole and securely engaged with the appendices. A non-return valve has an appendix shaped to seal the delivery hole, and is positioned in the dispensing chamber to prevent return flow of creamy substance in the dispensing chamber to the cylindrical chamber.

  • Patent number: 5779106
Abstract: An atomized liquid dispenser, comprising a pump and a dispensing head mounted on the stem of the pump, the head defining a chamber communicating with the stem and housing a movable piston urged by a spring to close a discharge nozzle provided at one end of the chamber. From the head there extends a skirt in which cuts are provided which define a flexible tang engaging one end of said piston projecting from said chamber. From the inner surface of the tang there projects a cam which, when the pump is operated, interferes with the pump or with an element rigid with it, to cause the tang to flex outwards and axially entrain the piston, so withdrawing it from the discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5577640
Abstract: A creamy substance dispenser is formed from a small number of components of easy and economical construction and assembly. The dispenser includes a main body defining a metering chamber communicating with a creamy substance container, within the chamber there being sealedly slidable a piston from which is projected a hollow stem extending into a hollow appendix projecting from a skirt rigid with the main body. The appendix is provided with a discharge hole closable by the end of said stem and biased by a spring, the stem freeing said discharge hole when made to translate by manual action.

  • Patent number: 5558258
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing atomized fluids under pressure and provided with a shut-off element operated by the pressurized fluid. The dispenser includes a compression chamber housing a movable piston from which there projects an appendix which, when in a rest state, is urged by a spring to seal a discharge hole provided in a body closing the chamber, which communicates with a seat into which the end of the stem of a pressurized fluid pump can be inserted. When the fluid pressure within the chamber overcomes the resistance of the spring, the piston moves and the appendix frees the discharge hole. That end of the piston close to the appendix is slidable in a sealed manner within a cavity in a bush and a communication duct between the compression chamber and the discharge hole is freed only when the end of the piston emerges from the bush cavity on withdrawing.

  • Patent number: 5492251
Abstract: A pressurized fluid dispenser is adapted to be fitted unto the stem of a fluid delivery pump. A skirt portion is flexibly connected to the remaining portion of the dispenser. A tongue projects from the skirt portion. The tongue may be pressed to flex the skirt portion inwardly. A tooth on the outer surface of the free end of the skirt portion project outwardly. The tooth is snap-engageable with an annular rib which projects into the interior of an aperture in the top of a ring cap adapted to attach the fluid delivery pump to a container mouth.

  • Patent number: 4979678
Abstract: An atomizer nozzle insert for hand pumps mounted on bottles, for the atomized dispensing of liquid products contained in said bottles, is of cup shape and comprises at least one turbulence channel of spiral extension provided in the inner end surface of the insert and opening into a coaxial turbulence chamber which communicates with the outside via a coaxial outlet bore for the atomized product. The turbulence channel also extends, with substantially helical extension, along the inner lateral wall of the insert.

  • Patent number: 4951842
Abstract: A seal device for hand pumps for dispensing a substance such as paste or liquid products from bottles containing such products, wherein upper closure element of the pump is formed of elastically deformable plastic material. In an axial hole of the closure element there is provided an annular lip defining a circular aperture of diameter slightly less than that of a corresponding part of the pump stem to ensure a seal between the stem and closure element during pump operation even when the bottle is inclined or inverted, while allowing a certain quantity of air to be drawn in to compensate the quantity of substance dispensed. The stem collar has on its upper face a coaxial annular seal rib which engages against the lower face of the closure element under the thrust action of a spring to provide a seal when the pump is not under operation.

  • Patent number: 4228931
Abstract: Pump that can be applied on a container and manually operable to deliver or dispense a liquid in an atomized form. The pump comprises a hollow stem for liquid delivery or dispensing, on which a sealing gasket is mounted and downward urged by a spring. A groove communicating through holes with the cavity of the stem is provided on the lower end of the latter. The gasket, normally sealing on the stem below said groove, when upward moved upon operation of the pump, has its lower edge suddenly bent inwardly of the groove, when arriving thereat, thus suddenly and completely communicating the passage of the pressure liquid to said holes of the stem.
