    Abstract: Sturdy spinning and flying toy with audible sound producing means reliably and automatically performing at full volume only when the toy is operatively airborne and being simple and safe and self-contained for operation by a child. The toy comprises an outer shell assembly and a sound producing assembly; the outer shell assembly in turn comprises a thin central vibratile portion and a peripheral downwardly projecting skirt; a downwardly open shell chamber is enclosed within the outer shell assembly; the sound producing assembly is attached to the top central portion of the shell assembly and the central portion of the shell assembly provides for enhancing the audible sound characteristics of the sound producing assembly.
