    Abstract: A dielectric component is fabricated from a dielectric material and includes a base panel member and a plurality of isolation panel members. The base panel member has a first base panel member surface. The plurality of isolation panel members is connected to and projects perpendicularly from the first base panel member surface. The plurality of isolation panel members are disposed apart from and extend parallel to one another to form a plurality of isolation channels. An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector housing and the dielectric component. Consecutive ones of a plurality of terminal pin portions projecting from the electrical connector housing are isolated from one another by consecutive ones of the plurality of isolation panel members such that the terminal pin portions are disposed in the isolation channels and are therefore isolated from one another. The electrical connector assembly might also incorporate a printed circuit board.

    Abstract: A position assurance assembly includes an elongated fastener, a cover forming a cavity, a first position assurance part, a mounting surface, a second position assurance part and a fastener receptacle. The cover has a hole formed therethrough and is in communication with the cavity. The hole is sized to receive the fastener. The first position assurance part is connected to the cover and disposed inside of the cavity. The second position assurance part and the fastener receptacle are connected to and project from the mounting surface. Upon covering the second position assurance part and the fastener receptacle with the cover, the first position assurance part and the second position assurance part matably engage one another and, with the hole and the fastener receptacle in at least substantial registration with one another, the fastener extends through the hole and into the fastener receptacle for releasable engagement therewith.

The housing body having a box-shaped configuration has a plurality of terminal-receiving holes formed therethrough, a pair of rail-receiving channels formed into opposing side walls and at least one latch projection. The wire routing cover includes a base panel with a pair of rail members and at least one latch element attached to the base panel. The base panel has a plurality of wire routing holes formed therethrough. Upon releasably connecting the housing body and the wire routing cover together, respective ones of the pair of rail-receiving channels slidably receive at least a portion of the respective ones of the pair of rail members, the at least one latch projection is releasably captured by the at least one latch element and the plurality of terminal-receiving holes and the plurality of wire routing holes register with one another.

    Abstract: A terminal position assurance device includes a housing and a matrix body. The housing having a parallelepiped configuration and defining a housing cavity has a forwardly-projecting U-shaped member that defines a U-shaped recess portion of the housing cavity. The U-shaped member has an opposing pair of free end latch portions. Respective ones of the free end latch portions and respective top and bottom walls are separated from one other by a slot formed therebetween. The matrix body disposed in the housing cavity has a plurality of matrix tubes. Each matrix tube defines a matrix passageway. The U-shaped member is disposed forward of the matrix body in the longitudinal direction. The matrix tubes are formed by a series of horizontal wall sections and vertical wall sections. Each one of the vertical wall sections includes a terminal retainer tab projecting laterally into respective ones of the matrix passageways.
