  • Patent number: 10418191
Abstract: An outer electrode includes sintered layers each containing a sintered metal, an electrically insulating glass layer, and metal layers each containing at least one of Sn and Cu. Each sintered layer covers a respective end surface of a body and extends from the end surface to at least one main surface of the body. The glass layer is directly provided on the sintered layers located on the end surfaces of the body, extends in a direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to side surfaces of the body, and defines a portion of a surface of the outer electrode. Each metal layer covers a portion of one of the sintered layers other than a portion of the corresponding sintered layer that is covered with the glass layer, and defines another portion of the surface of the outer electrode.

  • Publication number: 20140263167
Abstract: Provided is a polishing composition to be used for polishing an object including a conductor layer and an electrically conductive material layer that is in contact with the conductor layer. In a state in which the positive electrode and the negative electrode of an electrometer are connected to the electrically conductive material layer and the conductor layer, respectively, in the polishing composition at ordinary temperature, the current flowing from the positive electrode to the negative electrode has a positive value or is zero when the electrically conductive material layer and the conductor layer are polished. The polishing composition preferably contains a nitrogen atom-containing compound, a sulfur atom-containing compound, or a phosphorus atom-containing compound as an additive to control the value of the current to positive or zero.

  • Patent number: 7593003
Abstract: A display of “scroll up by 1 hour” is overlaid on sections of station name of a program schedule Fa1 when an up arrow key of a cross key provided to a remote commander is operated when a cursor K is on the upper border of a program frame, and when there is any preceding program (past program) not currently displayed in the program schedule Fa1. Then when an enter key provided to the remote commander is operated, the 1-hour-scrolled-up program schedule Fa1 is responsively displayed after reconfiguration. In such a manner, the display range of the program schedule can be changed with ease, and the present invention is applicable to television receivers for digital broadcasting.

  • Patent number: 6795097
Abstract: According to the present invention, when displaying a jog-dial window menu on a liquid crystal display, hierarchically-structured menu items are displayed with a hierarchy icon, thereby enabling the user to easily recognize whether or not that menu item is hierarchically structured and improving the operation of menu selection. Furthermore, scroll display of a character string indicating a menu item is performed in an identification frame, thereby enabling the user to read the entire character string from beginning to end for easy recognition thereof and improving the operation of menu selection. Still further, a character string of a menu selected from among a plurality of menu items is displayed in a different color from other character strings, thereby enabling the user to easily recognize the selected menu item and improving the operation of menu selection.
