  • Publication number: 20160080806
Abstract: [Object] To allow a server to check a change in a device state via a communication terminal device even in the case where a display device does not include a function of detecting its device state that changes in response to a user operation and of making a notification. [Solution] A communication terminal device 20 capable of communicating with a server device 2 via a network NW is connected to a television device 10 by HDMI. The server device 2 stores a detection setting table in which information indicating a detection setting used in a detection process is associated with corresponding device identification information. The server device 2 identifies, in the detection setting table, detection setting information associated with device identification information output from the television device 10.

  • Publication number: 20160055306
Abstract: [Object] To make it possible to remotely check a condition of a monitored person in detail without using monitoring sensors. [Solution] In a user condition checking system 1, a connection terminal device 30 is connected to a television device 10 operated by a user, so as to enable communication with a server device 2. The communication terminal device 3 acquires a user operation state output from the television device 10. Upon acquisition of the user operation state, the communication terminal device 30 outputs, to the television device 10, screen information corresponding to a question screen or the like to be displayed on the television device 10. The communication terminal device 30 acquires a user's answering state for the displayed question screen or the like and transmits the user's answering state to the server device 2. In this way, the server device 2 can check the condition of the monitored person in detail.

  • Patent number: 8468252
Abstract: A method of determining a transmission process is disclosed. One embodiment comprises a method of notifying a central coordinator of a group to receive a transmission and obtaining system parameters from the central coordinator. The method then determine at least one merit parameter using at least one of the system parameters and at least one local parameter and selects a method of transmission based upon the merit parameter.

  • Patent number: 8046484
Abstract: A method of transmitting data is disclosed. The method transmits data from a source device over a contention channel in a centralized network to more than one device on the channel, including a central coordinator. The method then waits for a data acknowledgment signal from the central coordinator as an indicator of successful reception of the data by any device to which the data was transmitted.

  • Patent number: 7653012
Abstract: Methods to and devices capable of transmitting data in a centralized network are disclosed. A central coordinator receives data from a source device to be relayed to at least one destination device. The central coordinator acknowledges reception of the data from the source device and transmits data to at least one destination device. The central coordinator then waits for an acknowledgement of data reception from each destination device to which the data was sent.
