  • Patent number: 9580843
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a cloth that is excellent in terms of not only flame retardancy but also stretchability, and also a textile product using the cloth. As a means for resolution, a composite yarn is obtained using a spun yarn that contains a flame-retardant fiber having a limiting oxygen index of 25 or more as measured in accordance with JIS K7201 and a conjugate fiber that is made of two components put together in a side-by-side manner or an eccentric sheath-core manner, and then a cloth is obtained using the composite yarn, in which the weight proportion of the flame-retardant fiber is 75 wt % or more based on the weight of the cloth, and the weight proportion of the conjugate fiber is within a range of 5 to 15 wt % based on the weight of the cloth.

  • Patent number: 7799239
Abstract: Para-type aromatic polyamide short fibers are attached with a phosphate ester alkali metal salt of an alcohol having a carbon number of 12 having a molar fraction of a monoester salt of from 45 to 70% by mol and a molar fraction of a diester salt of from 10 to 40% by mol in an amount of from 0.05 to 1.0% by weight based on the weight of the fibers, whereby such para-type aromatic polyamide short fibers excellent in spinning property are obtained that are excellent in bundling property and antistatic property, and are low in adhesion property causing less twining on rollers and less formation of scums.

  • Publication number: 20090137176
Abstract: A two-layer fabric according to the present invention has an integral structure containing a base cloth on the upper side and a reinforcing cloth for reinforcing the entire fabric on the under side, wherein (a) the base cloth of the two-layer fabric is flame-retardant and contains a warp yarn and a weft yarn containing 30% by weight or more of a flame-retardant fiber having a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 26 or more and a tensile strength of 8 cN/dtex or less, (b) the reinforcing cloth of the two-layer fabric contains a warp yarn and a weft yarn containing a heat-resistant high-strength fiber having a tensile strength of 15 cN/dtex or more as a main component, and (c) the base cloth and the reinforcing cloth are connected by the warp yarn and/or the weft yarn of the base cloth, to form the integral structure. Further, a heat-resistant protective clothing contains an outer fabric layer of the two-layer fabric, stacked and sutured by sewing.
