Abstract: Disclosed is an image forming process employing a light-sensitive image forming material and a developing solution. The image forming material comprises a support, a peel layer and a light-sensitive resin layer containing a pigment having an anionic group, superposed in order. The process comprises the steps of imagewise exposing the image forming material to light and developing the material by the use of a developing solution having a polymer having the following recurring unit (A): ##STR1## such as poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) to form an image on the peel layer.

Abstract: A light-sensitive transfer sheet is disclosed, which comprises a support having provided thereon a peeling layer comprising an alcohol-soluble polyamide, an alkali-soluble organic polymer and a basic compound, and a color material-incorporated light-sensitive resin layer or a color material layer and a light-sensitive resin layer, in that order.

Abstract: A photosensitive material comprises:(I) an undercoat layer containing at least one alcohol-soluble polyamide;(II) an alcohol-insoluble barrier layer; and(III) a coloring material-containing photosensitive layer or a laminate of a coloring material layer and a photosensitive layer superposed in order on a support to form a laminate.

Abstract: A method for transferring an image from an image sheet to an image-receiving sheet while the sheets are superposed, and an apparatus therefor. A support plate of good thermal conductivity and rigidity is placed against the sheets, and a cover sheet superposed remotely from the support plate. The resulting assembly is passed through a pair of heated rollers. Cooling rollers may cool the superposed sheets following image transfer. Additional cooling may be provided.

Abstract: A process for preparing a color proofing sheet is disclosed. The process comprises imagewise exposing a light-sensitive image-forming material comprising a transparent support having provided thereon a dye- or pigment-containing light-sensitive photoresist composition layer or both a dye- or pigment-containing colorant layer and a light-sensitive photoresist composition layer through a color separation mask, developing the material to form a color separation image, transferring the color separation image onto a photopolymerizable image-receiving layer, transferring in registration at least one more color separation image onto the same image-receiving layer to obtain a multicolored color proofing sheet on a single support, and totally exposing the image-receiving layer after the image transfer in an amount sufficient to induce photopolymerization thereof.
