Abstract: The present invention is related to a resin for use in an antifouling coating which is a polymer obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated monomer(s) and having, at side chain terminals thereof, a trisubstituted borane-amine complex and an azomethine group, or a group represented by the following general formula (1): (wherein M represents a metal selected from the group consisting of copper, zinc, nickel and cobalt, - - - means a chemically bound state, W represents —N(R1)R2— (in which R1 and R2 may be the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms), —OCO—, —OSO2— or L represents an alkylene group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and m represents an integer of 0 to 4).
