  • Patent number: 6259768
Abstract: A method employs simple procedures to speedily carry out loopback tests on devices that form a channel system of an exchange. The method is capable of quickly locating a fault in the exchange and allowing speedy maintenance work of the exchange. Also provided is an apparatus for achieving the method. The apparatus has a path setter (1-4), a loopback controller (1-3), and a tester (1-1), to test the devices of the channel system (1-2) of the exchange. The devices to be tested are arranged in replaceable units (1-21, 1-22). The path setter (1-4) simultaneously sets paths to sequentially connect the devices to be tested. The loopback controller (1-3) activates and releases loopback parts arranged in the devices to be tested. The tester (1-1) sends a test signal to the devices through the paths, receives the test signal looped back by the loopback parts, analyzes the received signal, and determines whether or not the devices are sound.

  • Patent number: 5603828
Abstract: A screen changer has not only the conventional slide bars with material injection channels and first air withdrawing channels, but also second air withdrawing channels, as well as material withdrawing channels when the slide bars are in an intermediate position where the filter portions provided through those slide bars in a direction normal to the axis are sealed and isolated within through-holes in the housing; said second air withdrawing channels communicate the topmost parts of the downstream compartments with the outside of the housing and are provided such that after penetrating through the slide bars, they extend along the outer surfaces of those slide bars; said material withdrawing channels are provided through the housing such that they communicate the exit ends of the downstream compartments with the outside of the housing.

  • Patent number: 3937422
Abstract: A brake mechanism in a magnetic tape recording and reproducing machine in which a magnetic tape is transported from one reel to the other reel comprising brake drums corresponding to two reels, brake shoes, means for securing the brake shoes and means for pressing the brake shoes to respective brake drums. Two micro-switches are provided for detecting the displacement of the respective means for securing the brake shoes in the direction of the rotation of the respective brake drums caused by the friction between the brake shoes and the brake drums in the operation of the brake mechanism. The two micro-switches are used for controlling a circuit giving D.C. current to stator windings of two electric motors for driving respective reels so that the rotors of both motors may be subjected to electromagnetical braking. The two micro-switches are also used for prohibiting the machine from starting until the tape transportation is perfectly stopped after operation of the brake mechanism.
