  • Publication number: 20080316120
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a housing, an inner conductor member provided inside the housing, a conductor part with which the housing is provided, and which restrains undesired electromagnetic radiation from leaking from inside the housing to the outside, and an antenna including an antenna element that is provided on an outer surface of the housing, the antenna using the conductor part as an antenna ground. The housing includes a non-conductor part that is out of the conductor part at least at a part of a region in which the antenna element is provided. When the antenna is viewed from a direction in which the antenna element and the housing overlap each other, a size of a part of the antenna element overlapping the non-conductor part is larger than a part of the antenna element overlapping the conductor part.

  • Publication number: 20050272309
Abstract: A main circuit board is mounted on a main body. A switch circuit board is held in a mounting portion such that switches face upwards. As the switch circuit board is held in the mounting portion, positioning projections formed on a bottom wall are pierced through positioning holes, respectively, and thus the positioning of the switch circuit board inside the mounting portion can be easily carried out. A switch cover is provided above the switch circuit board held in the mounting portion. A plurality of projections projecting downwards from the inner surface of the switch cover are brought into contact with the upper surface of the switch substrate. As these projections press the upper surface of the switch substrate, the up-and-down rattling of the switch circuit board inside the mounting portion can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20030198017
Abstract: A rectangular heating section is so shaped as to touch the electronic component except corners of the rectangle when the surface of the electronic component does not parallel the heating section. For example, the heating section is formed to be smaller than the electronic component surface, to be a rectangle which is smaller than the electronic component surface and comprises rounded corners, to be an octagon which is smaller than the electronic component surface and is formed by cutting off corners of the rectangle, or to be an octagon which is larger than the electronic component surface and is formed by cutting off corners of the rectangle. A die is prevented from being damaged due to a contact with the heating section of a cooling module at a given point of the die according to a mounting error or a usage state.

  • Publication number: 20020050024
Abstract: A brake hinge configured to connect a main housing and a display housing, one of which is rotatable with respect to the other, and to apply a predetermined torque to the housings, has a torque-generating section shaped like a hollow cylinder. The torque-generating section comprises a first member and a second member. The first member has a first guiding path in its one end portion. The second member is aligned coaxial with the first member, holds the other end portion of the first member, allowing the first member to rotate, and has a second guiding path in its middle portion. The torque-generating section holds a middle portion of a harness that connects the main housing and the display housing. The first guiding path guides one end portion of the harness into one of the housings. The second guiding path guides the other end portion of the harness into the other of the housings.

  • Patent number: 6226175
Abstract: An apparatus and method for releasing a load stress imposed during operation of a handheld electronic device includes a thin housing body defining an opening for mounting a keyboard panel. The keyboard panel has a relatively low rigidity. A spacing structure is provided to maintain a predetermined distance between a surface of a semiconductor package mounted on the keyboard panel and the thin housing body. The height of the spacing structure is greater than the height of the semiconductor package so that the predetermined distance is maintained when the keyboard panel is elastically deflected.

  • Patent number: 5914853
Abstract: A small or very small notebook type or palmtop type personal computer has a display device which is attached to a computer main body in an openable and closable fashion. The display device has a display panel body coupled to the computer main body in an openable and closable fashion by hinge mechanisms provided at both ends of the computer main body, and a display panel provided on the computer main body. The bottom portion of the display panel is the horizontal area between both hinge mechanisms. Therefore, the display panel is arranged within the limited space of the display panel body in such a way as to be able to avoid both hinge mechanisms even when the display panel constitutes, for example, a horizontally elongated display screen.
