  • Patent number: 7654300
Abstract: An obstacle detection stopping device of a solar radiation shielding apparatus capable of suppressing the wear of a lifting cord due to the contact of a slat with the lifting cord. The obstacle detection stopping device (10) comprises a support member (11), a rotary drum (13), a cam clutch (12), and a winding pulley (9). A drive shaft (8) is passed through the inside of the device. A rotating force in the unwinding direction is transmitted to the drive shaft (8) by a tension applied to the winding pulley (9). The rotary drum (13) is integrally fitted to the drive shaft (8), and the cam clutch (12) is fitted to the outer edge thereof so as to be rotated relative to each other. Based on the relative rotation of the cam clutch (12) to the rotary drum (13), the cam clutch (12) is moved along its axial direction to change the state of its engagement with a braking projected part (11g). The cam clutch (12) is installed so as to be non-rotated relative to the winding pulley (9).

  • Patent number: 5176194
Abstract: Bead strings comprising beads connected by means of threadlike cords are provided on both edges of a screen member attached to a roller sleeve of the roller screen unit, and are engaged slidably with guide grooves of a pair of guide groove members arranged on both sides of the screen member. The beads have an aperture through the center thereof, with a string disposed in the apertures. A space portion of the string between each of the beads is attached to the screen member by sewing. This permits very smooth operation of drawing/expanding and winding/housing of the screen member, and facilitates more efficient design and manufacture of the unit.

  • Patent number: 5099906
Abstract: In the roller screen unit of the present invention, a clutch mechanism based on centrifugal effect using balls is provided with a ratchet member in which a cylindrical portion having notches between engaging grooves of a stator member and floating grooves of a rotator member, to perform stepwise operations of drawing/expanding, winding/housing and stopping the screen member. The roller screen unit of the present invention is provided with a braking mechanism having a top member, for controlling rotation of the rotator member during winding/housing of the screen member, centrifugally in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the rotator member. In addition, a connecting portion having side edge turnups or beads portion is provided at an end of the screen member and are engaged with groove provided in the longitudinal direction of the roller sleeve to simplify and facilitate to attach the screen member to the roller sleeve.
