Publication number: 20050263501Abstract: In a laser beam machining method, after a transparent film of light permeable material has been attached to a workpiece at least on the laser beam incident side, a laser beam is irradiated onto the workpiece. A transparent film of a light permeable material is attached to the side of the workpiece opposite to the laser beam incident side. The laser beam machining method is utilized to machine components. Even if an inexpensive laser beam is used, the laser beam machining method generates perforations with diameters of less than 20 ?m., cuts with widths of less than 20 ?m., and readily removes carbon particles attached to the workpiece when being machined.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2005Publication date: December 1, 2005Inventors: Tomonari Otsuki, Tatsunobu Umezawa

Patent number: 6220871Abstract: An electrical connector includes a first connector having a plurality of electric contacts and a second connector having a plurality of electric contact elements which are to be contacted with the electric contacts of the first connector when the first and second connectors are connected. A board of the second connector which supports its electric contact elements is formed with slits closely surrounding the respective electric contact elements. Preferably, the board consists of a first board formed with the slits described above and a second board formed with an opening having an area corresponding to the whole area of the first board provided with the electric contact elements.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1999Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Assignee: DDK Ltd.Inventors: Tomonari Otsuki, Yasue Yamazaki

Patent number: 5957736Abstract: An electronic part, particularly a microstructure contact having an overall length of the order of 5 mm for an electrical connector or the like is provided with a nickel oxide layer portion having a nickel oxide layer of the order of 50 to 5000 .ANG. in thickness formed by anode oxidizing process using a solution mainly consisting of an alkaline solution. The nickel oxide layer portion is located between a terminal portion of the electronic part to be soldered as in a surface mounting process and a contact portion continuous to and extending from the terminal portion. The nickel oxide layer has a width of the order of 0.2 to 1 mm in the longitudinal direction of the contact and has a performance preventing the flowing of molten solder, thereby effectively preventing the flowing and wicking due to wetting of solder of the solder-plated portion toward the other portions as in the surface mounting process.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 1997Date of Patent: September 28, 1999Assignees: DDK Ltd., Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Hiroyuki Moriuchi, Tomonari Otsuki, Sadao Kuboi, Kiyoshi Matsui, Takayuki Ono, Morio Suzuki

Patent number: 4232923Abstract: An electrical connector for attachment to a printed circuit board which allows stacked printed circuit boards to be positioned closer together than previously possible. The connector comprises a housing, one surface of which is mounted against one side of the printed circuit board, and at least one resilient female contact having a terminal end extending through a passageway in the housing and attached to the printed circuit board. An intermediate portion of the female contact is bent such that the portion is substantially parallel to the printed circuit board. The other end of the terminal is folded over to form a wiping surface for contacting a mating male contact extending from an adjacent printed circuit board. The housing includes an opening adjacent the contacting end of the female contact to allow passage of the male contact through the housing and into engagement with the female contact.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1979Date of Patent: November 11, 1980Assignee: Bunker Ramo CorporationInventors: Tomonari Otsuki, Hiromasa Inouye

Patent number: 4202595Abstract: An electrical connector for removable connection with a plurality of spaced conductors in a flat strip, such as a length of ribbon wire. The connector includes a housing containing a plurality of contacts and a conductor supporting member movable relative to the housing between an insertion position and a clamping position. The contacts and the conductors supporting the member define a plurality of conductor-receiving passages, the passages becoming smaller in size when the supporting member is moved from the insertion position to the clamping position. The conductors of a flat strip may be easily inserted into the passageways when the supporting member is in the insertion position, and the conductors are securely clamped between the contacts and the supporting member when the supporting member is in the clamping position.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1978Date of Patent: May 13, 1980Assignee: Bunker Ramo CorporationInventors: Hiromasa Inouye, Tomonari Otsuki, Tsukasa Saito

Patent number: 4148547Abstract: A female electrical contact for making electrical contact with a mating male pin contact. The female contact is formed from a single piece of sheet metal and includes a pair of opposed contact leaves encased in the end of a tubular member of rectangular cross section. The tubular member has a closed end with a small aperture at its center, opening into between the two opposing contact leaves. The base for the contact leaves is U-shaped and has a pair of tabs which are bent to retain one of the rectangular faces of the tubular member in firm fixed position. The closed end may be concave to provide a camming action for the male pin to be inserted in the aperture therein. Additionally, a terminal strip portion can be provided extending from the U-shaped face to provide connection for an external conductor. Opposite sides of the tubular member can be foreshortened to bear against the two leaves to aid in biasing the leaves inwardly toward one another.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1977Date of Patent: April 10, 1979Assignee: Bunker Ramo CorporationInventors: Tomonari Otsuki, Akio Yamada, Yoshiaki Igarashi, Hiromasa Inouye
