Publication number: 20230100462Abstract: An electrostatic chuck device is provided in which the occurrence of cracking in a ceramic layer, the cracking being caused by a difference in thermal expansion between a substrate and a sleeve due to heat generated during formation of the ceramic layer, is suppressed. The electrostatic chuck device includes a substrate, a laminated body that is laminated on the substrate and that includes at least an internal electrode, and a ceramic layer that is laminated on the upper surface of the laminated body in the thickness direction. The electrostatic chuck device is such that the substrate has a through-hole provided so as to pass through in the thickness direction, a sleeve formed from an insulating material is inserted into the through-hole, and the sleeve is joined to the through-hole via a joining means at an upper portion of the substrate in the thickness direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2021Publication date: March 30, 2023Inventors: Tomoya HAGIHARA, Jun TOCHIHIRA

Publication number: 20230052471Abstract: A button assembly for an exterior of a vehicle is disclosed. The button assembly is designed with improved water drainage properties. The button assembly includes a button switch and a bezel housing surrounding the button switch that is spaced apart from the button switch. A channel extends between the two components. In one example, the channel has a width of approximately 0.5 mm at one end. In another example, the channel is formed between two surfaces, and the outer surface is sloped relative to the button switch by approximately 15 degrees. Furthermore, in some examples, the channel has a height of approximately 3 mm. Each of these structural characteristics serves to significantly improve the assembly's overall drainage performance, which may be especially essential in colder climates.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2021Publication date: February 16, 2023Inventors: Tomoya HAGIHARA, Timothy B. ALLEN, Antonio Emilio SANCHEZ AGUILAR

Patent number: 11550532Abstract: A modular display system for a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of display units that may be arranged along an exterior of the vehicle in different orientations. The system offers a modular, scalable, accessible, and simplified approach to exterior displays for automated and other types of vehicles. The displays, being modular, are not tied to the specific mounting location on the vehicle's exterior. The image data for each display is rotated based on the orientation of the display as installed which is identified by reference to the distinct pin connections of each display's control port.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2021Date of Patent: January 10, 2023Assignee: Honda Motor Co., LtdInventors: Antonio E. Sanchez Aguilar, Masatoshi Kubota, Tomoya Hagihara

Patent number: 11104277Abstract: A vehicle-mounted display device includes a switching mechanism disposed in the slide door and having a support frame on which a display screen is fixed. The support frame is switchable between a display-folded position in which the display screen is folded and a display-unfolded position in which the display screen is unfolded; and a door-open detector that detects whether a door-open command signal indicating that the slide door is going to be opened is received. When the door-open detector receives the door-open command signal, the support frame is switched from the display-unfolded position to the display-folded position, a screen surface or a back surface of the display screen and the inner side of the slide door are facing each other in the left-right direction in the display-folded position, and the display screen is in the display-folded position at least when the slide door is in the door-opened position.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2020Date of Patent: August 31, 2021Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tomoya Hagihara, Hiroshi Shingu, Joji Goto, Takayuki Kurihara
