Patent number: 11168741Abstract: A dog clutch for a vehicle includes gear-side meshing teeth provided on a shifting gear fitted so as to be rotatable relative to a shaft, and a dog ring disposed adjacent to the shifting gear in the axial direction of the shaft. The dog ring includes a first ring, a second ring, and springs interposed between the two rings. The first ring is provided with meshing teeth that can be meshed with the gear-side meshing teeth of the shifting gear. The second ring is provided with meshing teeth that can be meshed with the gear-side meshing teeth of the shifting gear. The springs are provided on the inner peripheral side of a circle that is centered on a rotational axis and that circumscribes a portion of the meshing teeth of the first ring and the second ring positioned on the outermost peripheral side.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2020Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Yukihiro Inaba, Akihiko Ichikawa, Tomoyasu Kurimoto, Takeshi Kamiya, Yuuki Masui, Isamu Shiotsu, Yasumitsu Osada

Patent number: 10995851Abstract: A gear change control device according to an embodiment includes a detection unit configured to detect the gear stage of a transmission and measure the input rotation rate of the transmission and the rotation rate of an engine and a controller configured to decrease the torque of a clutch to a second reference value from a first reference value when a first time elapses from a time point at which the rotation rate of the engine and the input rotation rate of the transmission become different from each other due to a gear change from a certain gear stage to a gear stage one or a plurality of stages higher than the certain gear stage that is performed by the transmission.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Tomomitsu Terakawa, Akihiko Ichikawa, Kotaro Hoshihara, Tomoyasu Kurimoto, Jun Yabuta

Patent number: 10711895Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle transmission that includes: transmission gears disposed on a shaft; a switching mechanism which is to be switched between a connecting state in which one of the transmission gears is rotatable integrally with the shaft and a disconnecting state in which the one of the transmission gears is rotatable relative to the shaft; a shift fork for axially moving the switching mechanism; and a shift barrel to be rotated to position the shift fork. The switching mechanism includes first and second rings and an elastic member which is disposed between the first and second rings in the axial direction and connects the first and second rings. The control apparatus determines that a failure occurs in the vehicle transmission, when a value related to a reaction force that acts on the shift barrel during rotation of the shift barrel is deviated from a predetermined range.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2019Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoyasu Kurimoto, Akihiko Ichikawa, Shinichi Takeuchi, Jun Yabuta, Yuki Masui, Takeshi Yano
