  • Publication number: 20240075890
Abstract: The power supply control apparatus performs power supply control of a sensor used in the driving support apparatus. The power supply control apparatus comprises a power supply control unit. The power supply control unit performs power supply reset of a plurality of sensors when it is determined that one of the driving support functions other than one of the driving support functions using a malfunctioning sensor is in inoperative. The power supply control unit does not perform power supply reset of the plurality of sensors when it is determined that one of the driving support functions other than one of the driving support functions using the malfunctioning sensor is operative.

  • Publication number: 20230186589
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a technique for sensing occlusion by image recognition processing to an image acquired by a camera mounted on a vehicle. According to a method of the present disclosure, it is possible to reduce erroneously determining that poor visibility due to occlusion occurs although the occlusion does not actually occur. The method comprises sensing occlusion by image recognition processing to an image acquired by a camera mounted on a vehicle, sensing a blur-inducing motion, which is a motion of the vehicle inducing a blur in the image, and ceasing sensing the occlusion while the blur-inducing motion is sensed.

  • Publication number: 20170136961
Abstract: A camera captures an image of objects outside a vehicle through a window of the vehicle. An image processing unit determines whether a captured image captured by the camera is clear or blurred. A controller activates a window heater to raise a temperature of a window area if the image processing unit determines that the captured image is blurred. If a blurred state of the captured image is not reduced by a time that a predetermined period of time elapses since the window heater is activated, the controller suspends activation of the window heater when the predetermined period of time elapses and prohibits subsequent activation of the window heater.

  • Patent number: 7860652
Abstract: The present invention discloses a lane detecting apparatus mounted on a vehicle including a camera for obtaining an image of a lane marking drawn on a road, a candidate line selecting part for selecting one or more candidate lines having edge information no less than an edge threshold from the image obtained by the camera, and a car pool lane determining part for determining whether the difference in the number of the candidate lines between the left side of the vehicle and the right side of the vehicle is no less than a predetermined value. When the difference is no less than the predetermined value, the lane detecting apparatus transfers to a car pool lane detection mode in which the candidate line selecting part detects the one or more candidate lines in accordance with a threshold that is less than the edge threshold.

  • Publication number: 20080094471
Abstract: A camera [[17]] captures an image by applying for every frame camera control values that are computed for a white line detection, and captures the image by applying for every frame camera control values that are computed for a three-dimensional object detection. The captured frame is transmitted to a stereo ECU [[20]] by adding thereto a frame counter value and the camera control values that were applied when capturing the image, and the stereo ECU [[20]] distinguishes the frame for white line from the frame for three-dimensional object depending on the added frame counter value. Based on the distinguished frame, the stereo ECU [[20]] carries out the white line detection or the three-dimensional object detection, computes the camera control values for the white line or the camera control values for the three-dimensional object, and transmits the computed camera control values to the camera [[17]].
