    Abstract: In an apparatus for mounting a reel on a fishing rod, a moving hood and a nut member respectively have contact surfaces which are brought into contact with each other. The outer sites in the diametrical direction of the respective contact surfaces are formed as pressure contact surfaces which are forced to contact each other when a fishing-reel fitting leg portion is clamped between a first and a second retaining portion by the clamping and pivotal operation of the nut member with respect to a seat body. The inner sites in the diametrical direction of the respective contact surfaces are formed into a click mechanism for producing a click sound with an elastic body and an engaging portion with which the elastic body detachably engages therewith during the rotation of the nut member.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a fishing rod in which a fishline is passed through the inside thereof. In the fishing rod, one of front and rear rod pipes to be connected together is provided with an enlarged diameter portion for receiving an outer periphery of the other rod pipe. Such enlarged diameter portion reduces a difference between the inside diameters of the front and rear rod pipes, to thereby eliminate the possibility that the fishline can be abutted against the end portion of the rod pipes. Thus, the frictional resistance of the fishline can be decreased, so that the fishline can be smoothly drawn into and out of the rod pipes.

The fishing rod has a main layer (12) formed by winding a first prepreg provided by impregnating highly strong fibers with resin so that weight percentage becomes 25% or less so that the fibers are oriented in an axial length direction and a reinforcement layer (14, 16) formed by winding a second prepreg provided by impregnating highly strong fibers with resin so that the fibers are oriented in a direction crossing the fiber orientation of the main layer (12) on at least one side of the inside and outside of the main layer (12). The reinforcement layer (14, 16) is formed thinner than the main layer (12), and resin impregnation percentage of the second prepreg is set to substantially the same as that of the first prepreg.

    Abstract: A fishing rod allowing a fishline to pass through which has a fishline lead-in guide member so configured as to provide a larger opening, to perform smoothly the operation of guiding and passing a fishline therethrough and as to be lightweight and simple in structure. A fishline lead-in guide member 4 has laterally symmetrical arm portions 4a installed on the fishing rod 1 and extended forward above a fishline lead-in hole 3a provided in the fishing rod 1. The arm portions 4a form an opening whose width .alpha. is greater than the lateral width .beta. of the fishline lead-in hole. The fishline lead-in guide member also has a fishline guide portion 4e positioned in the rear of the arm portions and provided with a guide hole 15 situated at a level higher than the surface of the fishing rod in the rear of the fishline lead-in hole. The fishline lead-in guide member is mounted in such a manner that at least one of the end portions 4c, 4f of the fishline lead-in guide member is held on the butt grip 1.
