    Abstract: In a developing apparatus for developing an electrostaticlatent image by applying a charged developer to the electrostatic-latent image formed on a surface of an image carrier, a housing which stores the developer and has a developing roller for feeding the developer therefrom to a developing position. A recovering blade for recovering a residual developer on the developer roller in the housing is urged against developer roller. The recovering blade has a conductive portion in contact with the developing roller so as not to non-uniformly or abnormaly triboelectrically charge a developer passing over it into the housing.
