    Abstract: A medical image diagnostic apparatus of an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry executes a scan based on a protocol designated by a user. The processing circuitry extracts a candidate protocol to be executed next to the protocol, based on protocol order information in which identification information that indicates each of a plurality of candidate protocols that can be executed starting from a specific protocol, and order information in which each candidate protocol is executed, are correlated with each other. The processing circuitry outputs the extracted candidate protocol.
