    Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a display device is configured to select an arbitrary mode among a plurality of types of power saving modes to effect performance of the display device in response to a taste. The display device achieves power saving cooperation. A setting storage module is configured to store setting states of the types of power saving modes. A display output module responds to an operation input to display the on, off, or selection states of the types of power saving modes. An execution change control module responds to the operation input to individually change the release or continuation of each type of the power saving modes. The execution change control module forcibly executes the types of power saving modes when a predetermined condition is met.
