  • Publication number: 20090275676
Abstract: A process for particulate-resin production from an aqueous solution containing resin particles by recovering the particulate resin from the solution. In recovering the particulate resin from the aqueous solution, a lubricant is added in an amount of 0.05-5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin ingredient contained in the particulate resin and a dispersant is added in an amount 0.1 to 1 time by weight the amount of the lubricant. Thus, a particulate resin excellent in transparency and blocking resistance can be obtained. In particular, a particulate isobutyrene block copolymer resin can be stably produced.

  • Patent number: 7345114
Abstract: According to the present invention, during or after the process of separating an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid by-produced from a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin slurry obtained by chlorinating vinyl chloride resin or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and another copolymerizable monomer, hypochlorite is added to the chlorinated vinyl chloride slurry or water-containing resin. Due to this, the concentration of hydrochloric acid in the chlorinated vinyl chloride resin or chlorinated vinyl chloride copolymer resin before drying is reduced, and the problem of removing hydrochloric acid in the subsequent drying treatment is reduced, whereby the problem of corrosion of a drier can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070173635
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a resin powder composed of an isobutylene polymer having low contents of a remaining solvent and a remaining monomer in a product. The present invention is accomplished by a method of removing a solvent while suspending the isobutylene polymer solution in water with a surfactant to obtain resin slurry, and subjecting the resin slurry to steam stripping at a temperature ranging from 150° C. to less than 180° C. to produce a resin powder without deterioration in quality, the resin powder having significantly low contents of the remaining solvent and remaining styrene in the resin.

  • Publication number: 20020173570
Abstract: A powdery resin composition having excellent ordinary temperature and low temperature powder characteristics, in particular, excellent blocking resistance, and comprising 100 parts by weight of a graft copolymer which contains a rubber as a trunk polymer and which is obtained by emulsion polymerization using a higher fatty acid salt, 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a crosslinked polymer of 30 to 60% by weight of methyl methacrylate, 65 to 35% by weight of an aromatic vinyl monomer, 0.1 to 25% by weight of a crosslinking monomer and 0 to 30% by weight of other copolymerizable monomer, and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a lubricant. According to the present invention, powder characteristics in low temperature storage of conventional graft copolymers containing a large amount of a rubber, which have been used as impact modifier for vinyl chloride resins, can be remarkably improved.
