Publication number: 20230407870Abstract: An electric coolant pump for providing an automotive cooling circuit with a coolant includes an electric motor to drive the electric coolant pump, a pump housing, a separating can, a printed circuit board, and permanently height-adjusted supporting elements. The separating can includes a substantially plane separating can bottom wall which lies in a cross plane, and a substantially cylindrical separating can shell which fluidically separates a wet zone from a dry zone. The printed circuit board is arranged substantially parallel to and not in direct contact with the separating can bottom wall so that an axial gap exists which is filled with a heat conductive means. The supporting elements axially support the plane printed circuit board. Each supporting element has a distal tip which is trimmed to define a height-constant axial gap having a nominal gap height between the printed circuit board and the separating can bottom wall.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2020Publication date: December 21, 2023Applicant: PIERBURG PUMP TECHNOLOGY GMBHInventors: RONALD RATHKE, WOLFGANG ZACHER, MARTIN FIEDLSCHUSTER, MARKUS RIEDEL, STEFFEN HENN, TONI HENKE

Patent number: 10778070Abstract: An automotive electric motor with a mechanical commutation. The automotive electric motor includes a stiff coil wire comprising a welding portion and an end portion which is arranged adjacent to the welding portion, and a flexible braid wire with a wire end which is electrically and mechanically connected to the stiff coil wire at the welding portion via a welding. The end portion of the stiff coil wire includes an end surface. The end portion of the stiff coil wire is bent in relation to the welding portion so that the end portion is bent away from the flexible braid wire and the end surface of the end portion of the stiff coil wire does not face the flexible braid wire.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2016Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Assignee: PIERBURG GMBHInventors: Toni Henke, Enrico Lindner, Mathias Zill

Patent number: 10714991Abstract: An automotive single-phase electrical motor of a claw pole type includes a rotating motor rotor which rotates around a rotating axis, a stator defined by a pair of annular stator bodies, and a stator coil arrangement which magnetizes the stator bodies. The stator bodies includes a first stator body having a radial arm and at least two magnetic claws, and a second stator body having a radial arm and at least two magnetic claws. The at least two magnetic claws of the first stator body mesh with the at least two magnetic claws of the second stator body so that the stator bodies mate with each other. The stator coil arrangement is provided as a satellite of the stator bodies. The radial arm of the first stator body and the radial arm of the second stator body are magnetically connected to each other at the stator coil arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2016Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: PIERBURG PUMP TECHNOLOGY GMBHInventors: Enrico Lindner, Mathias Zill, Toni Henke

Patent number: 10193474Abstract: An electric motor vehicle auxiliary unit includes an electronically commutated drive motor comprising motor coils and an electronic commutator arrangement which energizes the motor coils. The electronic commutator arrangement includes a control unit, multiple power semiconductors each of which is controlled by the control unit, a motor current path, a motor current tap arranged in a course of the motor current path, and a high-pass filter arranged between the motor current tap and the control unit. The motor current tap is arranged so that a voltage signal proportional to a motor current IM drops at the motor current tap during a motor energization. The high-pass filter includes an input signal and an output signal. The input signal is the voltage signal and the output signal is a control signal for the control unit. The high-pass filter triggers a pole reversal after a delay following an input of a peak signal.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2015Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: PIERBURG PUMP TECHNOLOGY GMBHInventor: Toni Henke
