  • Patent number: 5261761
Abstract: When a PVC sewer pipe is to be connected to a precast reinforced concrete manhole at a designated hole location thereof, this designated hole is made large enough to later accommodate grout and an inserted end of the PVC sewer pipe, on which an ABS manhole adapter is pre-positioned. This ABS manhole adapter serves as a coupling-collar, around which the grout is placed, as the grout is used to fill the remaining volume of the designated hole, thereby completing the resilient connector assembly used in making this connection between the precast reinforced concrete manhole and the PVC sewer pipe.
